Yup, I'd like to see Noggin try some of that stuff, but of course, he never will. One of Noggin's great strengths is his handling of pitchers and his loyalty to his vets. It's also his weakness, trying to squeeze one more inning out of a poorly pitching Peavy tonight cost two runs. Same old lineup, same old strategies, even with a team-wide slump. Mac hitting pretty well on the roadie, so he sits him and has Parker at #3?

I think if you looked at other teams you'd see that the Giants are not particularly prone to this, it happens to all the teams. The Cubs for example recently fell pretty quickly from playing .750 ball to playing .600 ball.
It just FEELS like it's a Giants thing because we watch them so closely we see and feel every slump.
