What is going on with UVA? Word is the Notre Dame OC is on the radar (per DD). Wouldn't be super impressed with that hire unless Kelly bolts for the NFL and he brings the staff from South Be d to Charlottesville. I think Rbule would be a good for. They seem to be moving awfully slow on this....

Fuente is a good hire, but I think keeping Foster and Shane's dumbass on staff is a mistake.

Sounds like most, if not all of the offensive staff is gone. Shane needs to go somewhere else for awhile. I think he can be a good coach.

Now who wouldn't want Bud Foster? I understand that it could get "complicated" with Bud's history there, particularly if things go south. But it looks like Foster put his pride aside and did what he thought was best for himself. I have heard he may be getting another fat raise, so it could be a no brainer for everyone.

Now..I am interested in what UVA is going to do. Sanford and Lincoln Riley seem to be the big names right now. Some people are even throwing Richts name out there (don't see that happening). All I know is that they better be moving. More jobs could open in the next few days. Shit or get off the pot Oliver!

I think Richt will retire. He was given the option to coach the bowl game, and he's going to. I can't imagine someone looking for another job, sticking with their current job for another 3-4 weeks.

Shane is not being retained. The in game leak came from another coaching candidates agent, not Virginia Tech. I'm not going to say who, but morr is out there if you ask around. It makes some sense.

When Shane's name was stated as being retained, my only thought was that it was to stay on in a recruiting capacity and to work with ST. If that leak isn't true, then I wonder why it hasn't been stated publicly as a mistake.

I wonder who all Foster would be able to retain from the defensive coaching staff, if anyone. If we don't keep Torrian, I expect him to be able to find a job as a DC somewhere with his experience and learning under one of the best out there.

A few names I've heard mentioned other than Richt for the UVA job are Jeff Brohm (WKU HC), Matt Rhule (Temple HC), Dan Mullen (Miss St HC) and Mark Sanford Jr (ND OC). As someone that's kept up with WKU football, I've definitely liked what Brohm has done there with that offense, going 19-6 in his two seasons, with two more games to go. UVA I think needs to go with someone offensive minded after the last two coaches being defensive oriented and Brohm could be that guy.
