PP noticeably weaker without Hall, Palmieri or Mojo. Everything being forced to Nico it seems.

Tough loss but they played well without top guys.
Vatanan and Coleman looked like a bunch of 5 year old soccer players on that play in OT. Cant have 3 guys head to the same place in OT like that.

Lucky to get a point. We're not getting ugly goals against Price. OT, Coleman has to wake up on that goal. 2 guys already engaged, you can't be the 3rd guy in, you need to cover.

Exactly.
After that horrible performance in NY, definitely a better 2 games. I thought they might steal 2 points tonight. They had some great chances before OT to jump ahead of the Habs.

If you can have a new deal in place for EK to sign as soon as ink dries on trade, I do that deal without hesitation

If Hall is out for a season with knee injury (hope NOT), we most likely are not making play off.
Plus Palmieri, Johansson are also out.
But to have EK on our team would be huge.

Big win tonight. Always nice when secondary guys carry the load. Santini, Boyle, Coleman, Lappin all scored. Zacha missed having a goal by seconds and had a secondary assist taken away, bummer.

damn thats quite a trade.

EK for 2 firsts severson mcloed and zacha.

honestly i think take out one player mclode or severson and thats a fair trade. i think you could probably even ditch that 2nd first round pick too.

i rather keep mclode only because everyone says amazing things about this kid. zacha i dont care about and severson will be replaced by karlson. i do agree that you need some type of guarantee that karlson signs long term before you pull the trigger. that reason alone is the sole reason why a lot of teams wont be going after him and it will drive the price down IMO. everyone knows hes due for a massive raise in 2020 so why give up so much for a rental? just look at what kovy cost us. because teams knew once he turned down the thrashers offer he was going to test the market.

btw who can even afford the $10 million salary thats going to come with him?

Cap is supposed to go up a decent amount next season, just have to hope it doesn't go down. Also, we're probably having another lockout so there's that.

I always liked Henrique, but he annoys me right now. Since he was traded, he has been playing much better than he was with the Devils this year. I know it happens, and I don't wish him any ill will. But the Devils are loaded with offensive talent, so it's not as if he was stuck on a bad team.

That's slways,been my gripe with Henrique. When motivated and playing well he's a gamebreaking top line ce nter. The problem is we'd go months at a time without ever seeing that guy.

We won but not very happy with the win....

After going down 2-0, i use to think no worry we can still come back. We've shown before that we're capable of scoring after relentless attacks etc... Once we went down 2, i did not have that feeling again. Not so much what the Ducks were doing but more on how we've been playing for over a month. It's not the same flair or aggression we started off with.

We came back and won though, that was more shocking than anything considering my mindset. We're still a step behind in the confidence department, idk whats going....
