Thank you for the spoiler tags guys. I have no interest in watching the episode early, or being spoiled beforehand.

You're welcome. You're gonna shit your pants at the end of the episode when Ser Pounce flies in and decapitates the Night King

Episode 6 comments:

Sansa asked Littlefinger where he thought Arya got possession of the note, and Littlefinger played stupid..... so now, all that Arya needs to do is finally relent and tell Sansa where she got the note, and Littlefinger will be exposed......this will probably happen during the season finale.

The undead waiting for the ice to re-freeze before attacking indicates that wights cannot swim and would probably sink...... however, later during the fight, the wights were popping up through the hole in the ice in an attempt to grab Tormund and pull him under. Then at the end, the undead clearly were able to dive under water and attach heavy chains onto the dragon corpse..... also, where the fuck did they get those massive chains?

I thought it was interesting that they had free will. I thought Wights were basically mindless fast zombies. Then they catch one and it calls for help
Then the Hound tries to skip a rock and the Wight decides to test the ice

Beric telling Jon, hey we all have a purpose. Oh BTW, kill that one guy right over there and its done. I smell foreshadowing.

Also, hey Gendry you are a dead man walking so how about you run back to Eastwatch and let us handle this
Oh yeah, let's have that axe. Some people like to post spoilers so having Tormund wielding that thing will trick people into thinking you are dead. You are the only living Baratheon heir and are the best blacksmith we have both of which will be important later. Run along lad

Don't read below if you haven't watched the episode. Pretty major spoilers in there.

Man that was an awesome episode! Lots of stuff in there, going to have to watch it again.

Anyone have a Walking Dead moment and think Tormand was gonna get bit turn? How the hell do Beric and Thoros light their swords on fire? No one asks? Someone needs to ask. Seems like the wights eyes don't glow as much, maybe its all the snow? Not a very good trade off there for an end, WW won that one. Guess we can bury the Tyrion Targaryen theory, no more 3rd dragon from him to ride any way.

Once you get past the timing/teleportation issues, it was a pretty great episode. Probably not the best episode ever (Hardhome is still my favorite battle), but still pretty awesome.

I really don't like the way Arya is behaving, being a psycho when Sansa hasn't done anything wrong and can't be blamed for that letter. Pointless conflict IMO.

Agree on the Arya thing but maybe after watching it again, Sansa is getting a little power hungry. She did give herself credit for winning the battle of the bastards. But then again, Sansa is defending John against the people that are growing restless with John leaving. Nonetheless, pretty pointless, other than they got to give Little Finger his last move before he gets exposed. You would have figured they would have had at least some moment where they shared some of the things they went through while they had been apart before that scene. I guess they never really were that close though.

They weren't close, but they are still surviving Stark sisters who have been through hell. Sansa and Jon weren't close either, but still were VERY happy to see each other and have been supporting and caring for each other since they got reunited (with some disagreements, but they have worked through those). It's bad when the only logical explanation is "bitches be crazy".

Arya's behavior is just ridiculous, considering that Sansa has been defending Jon during the council meetings, and is right when she says that she won the battle for Winterfell.

Another point I didn't get: WTF was that invitation Sansa randomly received from KL? Why would anyone send that, and more importantly, why would she even consider attending or send anyone to represent her? I really hope the Stark sisters are just playing along and fooling LF, because that whole Winterfell plot was really bad.

Yup. I keep hearing 2 conflicting stories. One is that there are only 13 episodes between this season and next season because there isn't much story left to tell. I also hear that the story gets condensed for these last 2 seasons because we only had 13 episodes left. Which is it?
It's because of how expensive these episodes are.

On the sisters:
Arya's reaction does kind of make sense if you consider who her favorite sibling was (and it wasn't close), it was Jon. Jon that had Needle made for her (stick them with the pointy end). If she thinks Sansa is going to replace Jon, she'd be pissed. However she's being played by LF.

Maybe it was explained elsewhere but I just assumed Beric and Thoros could have flaming swords because they're tight with the Lord of Light like that. You're a faithful servant for so long, you learn some magic that lights it on fire.

I think that at some point Longclaw will ignite, since Jon is the Lord of Light's champion. I thought it was going to happen when they seemed doomed just before the dragons' arrival.

Opening march scene had 10 total.

The bear killed 3 red-shirts.

The lake killed an additional red shirt.

I guess they are fucking each other out there...

The Lord of Light really wants Jon alive... Those last second saves are mounting up.

Again, I really don't like the whole Winterfell plot, it makes zero sense.
