He beat a handful of good teams at Boise state when he only had one or two games to prepare for each season. He won a weak PAC conference and got his ass stomped in the CFP. It's a decent start, but he hasn't shown me or anyone else that he's even approaching someone like Saban, Meyer, or even Dabo's level.
Chris Petersen & Washington are only a few good recruiting classes away from battling it out with Tom Herman & Texas for World Domination.

It's not arrogance when your results back it up. We're fresh off a class where we pillaged the state of Texas and have established ourselves as the premier defensive back producer in college football.

Yeah, it's arrogance, and it's HILARIOUS

Ohio State is GUARANTEED to get him according to you, unless they don't.......and when they don't it will be because they really didn't want him......

I LOVE the built in excuses already. Foster is going to Texas.......and I'm willing to bet on it.

Yet here you are hemming and hawwing, back tracking and back pedaling.

You can't have it both ways. You have outright stated Ohio State can just take any kid they want - and yet, Texas is going to get this kid, and it won't be close either.

So regale us with stories of that time he said Ohio State was his leader, and all evidence to the contrary be damned, because if OSU wants him, he has NO CHOICE but to "be in the fold"

LMAO OK chief

Marquan McCall, Oak Park, Offensive Guard

The number one player in Michigan, and the number four ranked OG in the nation, 4-star Marquan McCall committed to Kentucky!

Well that's dissapointing. I was hoping we could return the favor and exploit some inexperience at DB like you did against us last year.

Not sure yet on WR. There's going to be a lot more talent there with some experience this year. I'll say you're going to see a different type of receiving attack this year compared to last year. Westbrook wasn't full strength and we were still sticking with some guys who had no business being on the field with your players, but played because they were veterans. This year I think you'll have to cover bigger and more physical guys like Mead and Andrews. Both of those guys should be a nightmare in the red zone. Also, watch out for the transfer we got from Kentucky, Jeff Badet. I wouldn't be shocked if he doesn't take on that #1 WR role straight away. Guy has some real skills. Kentuckys offense just sucks. Marquise Brown is a burner. Faster than Westbrook, but I have no idea if he'll be able to hang physically at this level yet.
Yeah I remember Andrews, I think he snagged a TD on us last year.

Ward won't be the guy to be guarding the big guys. He's only 5'10". However, incoming JUCO Kendall Sheffield will likely be tasked with that, as he has more size and is extremely skilled. We have some longer DBs that will likely be out there, but that pecking order has yet to be determined.

I'm excited to see how our passing game looks against you guys. Ya'll obviously know what Kevin Wilson can do. How our offense works with him is going to determine our season. The defense will be fine but you never know when you work in a new offensive scheme. Then again, it can't be much worse than last year.

I think Barrett may struggle to pick up Wilson's system. I expect you guys to run right at our defensive interior to see how we handle it.

Well, it looked like our two backups had no problem running it, so if Barrett can't we should still be in great shape. Then again, I've said on multiple occasions that Barrett may very well be the 3rd most talented actual QB on the team, so we'll see.

The good news for us is, you're not likely to find that out until we play y'all in Columbus.

True, but the bad news is that Barrett threw 4 TDs last year with a fucking moron at OC.

Yeah. Our secondary was a fucking mess early last year. Your OC wasn't too stupid to see what a dumpster fire that corner position was and keep attacking it. Which is exactly what he should've done. As long as sunderland can step in seamlessly at safety we should be shored up in our secondary. It's our interior defense I'm worried about.

I didn't realize you had so many front 7 losses. I'm concerned about Weber being a bellcow, so I'm hoping there's a steady diet of Demario McCall and the new frosh Dobbins from TX. We'll need them.

I'm very excited to see Wilson with guys like Parris Campbell (being mocked as a 1st round WR next year), Bin Victor, Austin Mack, KJ Hill, and Johnnie Dixon. It will be a very fun offense if it clicks.

We lost some in the front 7 but I'm not sure we lost a ton of production in the front 7. Walker might as well have not even been on the roster last year. Dimon had no business seeing the field as much as he did (Back to bob loving his veterans while talent sits on the bench), Wade was a decent rotational talent but not a game changer by any means, and Evans didn't show up till after the Texas Tech Game.

Our perimeter defenders are freaking legit with Okoronkwo and Caleb Kelly, and they've got some real depth there too. . Should actually be better on the D-line as Gallimore and Overton finally get their chance now that some of the dead weight has been dropped off, and Roman is a solid run stopping interior lineman. What I'm worried about is our depth at DT and MLB. Beal plays hard, but he's undersized and was not assignment not last year. On the other hand, we have a guy named John Michael Terry who seems to have the talent, but hasn't quite picked up the mental side of the game which is so important at the MLB position.

Not a good barometer. Mahomes threw for 734 and 5 TDs (ran for 2 more TDs) against OU. Their secondary was just nearly as bad as Tech's.

The OU secondary hasn't been all that good in YEARS man......I can't even remember the last quality DB they had. They've gotten by with great LB play and a few studs on the DL but the secondary has been forgettable for years now

Aaron Colvin was the last top notch corner. Jordan Thomas and Steven Parker may be 2nd round guys next year. Our biggest problem was that corner spot, and Jordan Evans half adding it the first half of the year. We should be much better in our secondary this year.

Gonna have to be, too many passing teams this year in conference.

I still can't believe OU let Tyrone Swoops throw for over 300 on them a few years back - is it really the players or the scheme?

It's both partly. For fuck's sake we had to try to rely on dakota Austin last year. Kerry Cooks is trying to change that, but I also think a lot of it had to do with being soft in the defensive front which put pressure on the secondary. Also, as much as we liked Sanchez's interceptions, you could also count on him to get left in the dust while peaking in the backfield a couple of times each game. We've really upped our DB recruiting recently so hopefully it pays off.

:L Both the Pac 12 North and South are better from top to bottom than the Big 12. At least the Huskies went to the NC playoffs. The Big 12 has a way to go to get to the level of the of Pac 12. If fact the Big 12 is probably the weakest Major Conference in the country. The SEC East is not as good as the SEC West. Take Bama out of the SEC and you would have just an above average conference.
