Till We Can't Be Beat. WON'T. BE. BEAT.
@AlaskaGuy still, that second pic looks much more like a perennial contender's venue than the first
It's for the rain but it helps with the crowd noise. It bounces the sound back towards the field. Husky Stadium will never be the same though due to the change in the fanbase. The blue collar workers used to make up the majority of Husky fans that went to the games and now it's mostly leftwing liberal pricks that aren't nearly as loud. They spend more time texting on their phones than they do watching the game. They make me want to puke.@AlaskaGuy And what is it with you guys and the overhangs? Is it the rain? Because I feel like it was originally intended for rain, but then you figured out it increased crowd noise and just stayed with it.

Teams that are kind of in the same ilk as Iowa where I think a home and home would be mutually beneficial would be UCLA, Georgia, Oklahoma St, Louisville. Non P5 I'd like to see Houston. Instead we will keep playing Iowa St.... yay...
Do the Blue Devils even have a football team?
I'm pretty sure it was sarcastic, Long Beach State Football ended over 20 years ago.
And the reality is that Iowa players and fans simply don't care much avout the game. There are multiple B10 teams I consider more of a rival than ISU. Conversely iowa St fans love the game and we are by far the biggest game on their schedule. They literally are NEVER a good win so what's the point of the game? Iowa has won like 26 of the last 35 games and it means nada. I'd much rather take that weekend and play another P5 team even if it's a traditional middling type team because at least those teams are occasionally goodI can see why you are upset. Iowa State is a bad draw too, if you win its a "so what you should be Iowa State" and if you lose...
I didn't even know they were the Blue Devils. I was talking about Lawrence Tech, my brother's alma mater.I'm pretty sure it was sarcastic, Long Beach State Football ended over 20 years ago.
SC and Stanford play two P5 OCC games each year along with a 9 game conference schedule. UCLA usually does the same. And the reality is that Iowa players and fans simply don't care much avout the game. There are multiple B10 teams I consider more of a rival than ISU. Id be willing to bet those schools have far bigger endowments than Iowa does though. It's not impossible to do. There were years in the 90s where Iowa played ALL P5 opponents but they also lost a ton of money those years. Add in that we are obligated ( per state legislation) to play UNI once every 3 or 4 years and it really just sucks.SC and Stanford play two P5 OCC games each year along with a 9 game conference schedule. Serious question Brasky. Would you consider Oregon underachieving or just not achieving?cough (TEXAS) cough
There's a short video of when Washington set that record during the Nebraska game ... I just have to find it on youtube.
I would have put you, along with UF and Miami if we didn't already play every year. Most of ya'll be skeered.
