I think he definitely still gets drafted but not 1st round anymore. The story continues to look more and more suspect so I think a team takes a chance on a player of his caliber.

Good lord, if I'm a professional athlete now a days I'm getting a video testimony that the sex is consensual before the fact

I tried clicking the link. All I got was a 420 error can't view at this time
I had the same problem. Just google for the video. It shows that the girl met him at the bar and not in the elevator like she stated.

I did find a proper link to read. The girls accusations seemed really off from the start. She goes up to the room with him. Claims to feel threatened. Then decides the best coursecof action. Is to go to the bathroom then watch? Rather than leave? After reading the updated link. It seems even more questionable imo. Conley should do as acrossthefield said and file a civil suit imo

If for any reason he is not picked tonight, the Browns should just email their card to Goodell at the end of the night for the first pick of round 2. Easiest choice of the weekend.

Wouldn't that make it even less likely they would take him?

Seriously though. If this plays out like it looks like it might, fuck this chick and hold her ass liable for damages, but wtf are you thinking dude? You are holding a golden fucking ticket and are at the eve of the rest of your life? Lock your ass in your home and stay the fuck away from everybody.

Isn't it bullshit that, just because you're an athlete, you have to shun society in circumstances like this? Even if he doesn't fall far (unlikely), she should be brought up on criminal charges. Not only do things like this ruin the lives of thousands of innocent men, but they trivialize the real charges that are brought forward, leaving thousands of women without justice. This should be viewed in the same light as actual r*pe, because in several ways, it can be just as damaging.

I would be surprised if he fell to the second round. The girls story is making less sense every day. Video footage of the two of them in a bar. When she claimed they met in an elevator? Agreeing to go to his room after " meeting in a hotel elevator"? Deciding to stay in the room to avoid having intercourse with Connelly. But being kicked out of the room? If she felt she was in danger why not leave? Why get a r*** test administered at a hospital. And decline to be interviewed by the police? The list goes on and on. And the further it goes the more it just doesn't add up. Conley should definitely file a civil suit imo

I was curious to see just how truly awful they've been in the last decade so I went back to look at it. I'm not going to include 2016 or 2015 because it's still probably to early to tell if they're busts or not.

2014: Justin Gilbert(8), Johnny Manziel(22)
2013: Barkevious Mingo(6)
2012: Trent Richardson(3), Brandon Weeden(22)
2011: Phil Taylor(11)
2010: Joe Haden(10)
2009: Alex Mack(21)
2008: No 1st Rounder
2007: Joe Thomas(3), Brady Quinn(22)
2006: Kamerion Wimbley(13)
2005: Braylon Edwards(5)

That is truly god awful. They've had 26! picks in the last 2 years. You'd think in theory they should be good(this year or next) even if they only hit on like 25% of those guys.

Him dropping out of the first round would have nothing to do with talent. It is the amount of guaranteed money teams will have to give him. If Cleveland were to take him 33rd, they'd have to give him a signing bonus of around 2.2 million and a contract worth more than double that.

I hope they can get it all figured out, but if that is hanging over his head. I don't see a team taking him in, at least, the first two rounds and could drop even further.

I don't know how you can look at the evidence and not realize how bogus this is. I think teams are learning from the La'el Collins situation to actually do their research and maintain skepticism. All signs point to Conley being innocent, so with his talent and otherwise spotless reputation and character, I think he's absolutely worth the 33rd pick.

Anyone who gets him outside the first is getting a steal

Could see a team getting caught in the future paying off some chick to accuse a high rated player of r*pe so they can get him later in the draft

Wasn't collins dropping because of pot? Huge difference between the two incidents. I agree with his talent, but a felony r*pe investigation could lead to a trial, could lead to multiple court appearances, could lead to bad press for the team who drafts him and NFL contracts in the 1st round are fully guaranteed. 2nd round, you are giving 1-2+ million dollar signing bonuses and over half the contract is guaranteed.

No. Collins started to drop when it was announced that he was scheduled to talk to the Louisiana State police days after the draft, about the shooting death of a pregnant woman with whom he previously had a relationship with, even though he was not considered a suspect in the crime. It was basically guilty by association, which sounds like what is happening with Conley. I don't think this will ever get to trial. If I were teams I'd leave him exactly where he was on their boards prior this "incident" It ain't a felony to f*** a ho.

Was Collins the guy who had his phone hacked and pictures were posted of him in a gas mask smoking pot got out? Or am I thinking of the wrong guy?
