With JB retiring, Hopkins was guaranteed the HC job at SU. So the guy hung around forever and just when JB is on his way out, Hopkins takes the Washington job.

I wish him the best of luck. But wow.

Yeah....I saw this right after I put up the first link and am in shock trying to figure out what really happened.

Yes....this is exactly how I felt. Hopkins has been offered a dozen HC positions in the last few years and I can't figure out why all of a sudden he takes this job. I have the feeling there's stuff that happened behind the scenes that isn't public yet. This was a weird season with some major downs and IMO something wasn't working between Hops and JB and the new AD.

But nobody is saying shit at SU.
