All in all, I think Kelly has the makings of a Belicheck...confidence in his system as a team system. Arrogant to the point that he thinks he can win with anybody. If he wins this year, then he is right, and he is in good cap shape. I'm confident they will be awesome next year, with Mariota at QB.

Lol @ all the armchair experts wonder how people keep jobs that they personally could only dream of having. I drive a car every, day... guess by the logic around here I'm better than all the NASCAR/INDY/F1 drivers who aren't in the top 10% of their respective positions. I hope Chip ends up in New England. I'm a big fan. His success in the NFL changed my tune on him. We will prob never see another first time NFL coach win 20 games in his first 32 games. Unheard of.

Well, it was his third year in the pros. He's obviously a smart football coach.

3-0, with wins over Cleveland, Chicago, and a trap road game for Pittsburgh.

There's a lot I don't like about the way the situation in Philly shook out with Kelly. I think that Lurie made a lot of mistakes, from pushing Roseman to the side without firing him, to not giving Kelly enough time to prove that his system didn't work.

But in 2015, Kelly was given full control of the players that came and went, and the team was markedly worse in practically every measure. One season isn't a fair sample size, but it was enough for the owner to decide to pull the plug on it.

Hell, the Niners last year were much better at running the ball than the Eagles were in 2016, and they didn't spend the small fortune in money that Kelly did on the RBs he brought in.
