I'd like to be thrilled with the win tonight but I'm only half celebrating. That knee injury to Clarke (our best player imo) looked nasty. Hopefully the MRI comes back clean. Otherwise, it could be a painful finish down the stretch. It'd suck to come this close the tourny only for it to be derailed due to an injury

Just noticed the ACC tourney is here in Brooklyn. Will definitely look into getting tickets

The ACC is trying super hard to inject itself into the NYC market. I'm fine w the tourney in Brooklyn or MSG every 4 years or so, but I'd (selfishly) like to see it in DC every other year.

A perfect rotation would be Atlanta, Charlotte, DC and NYC, but who knows what is going to happen with the ACC being stupid about NC's HB2 bill.

I thought NC rescinded that bill after the City of Charlotte removed their transexual bathroom law.

No, the new dem governor tried to have it repealed in December, but since their Legislature is still mainly Republican, the bill was defeated.

Florida State has a real opportunity here with their upcoming schedule. Next 3 are @ Pitt, vs. BC and @ Clemson. This season has proved that nothing is a for sure win in the ACC especially on the road. However you couldn't have asked for a more favorable schedule at this point of the season.

Now they just need to figure out how to shoot free throws...

Pitt can be tricky. They had 2 good home wins and could have been 3.

If you see the finals and the seating in NYC or DC or ATL there is always empty seats galore. When it's in Greensboro it's a sell out.

Has the tourney been in NYC before? I know it's been in DC and ATL before but really don't recall it ever being in NYC

How much were the tickets when the tourney was in DC/UNC? These tickets in Brooklyn are pretty expensive

It's because they want to sell you more than single game tickets. You usually have to buy books or sessions. If you went to every single game for the whole event schedule get ready to spend close to a Grand a ticket. I try and find friends who I can get a ticket from since I usually cannot attend the whole week's games. But you can usually buy 2-game scenarios.

LOL. Last years tournament at the VZ Center in DC was sold out (21k people) for all but one session starting with the quarter finals, and even that session sold almost 19k tickets.

God forbid there is even a discussion about the ACC not bending over backwards to protect UNC and Duke.

Day of we were able to find quarter final tickets in the $40-$50 range. Lots of VT alumni in the DC area. I couldn't make the finals, so I didn't check prices.

I think the crowds should be good in NYC. We all love Duke here as well

NYC has a boner for Duke basketball. Didn't they play a 'home' game at MSG a couple years ago?
