He's the total opposite of Bill Snyder. Any reasonably competent head coach would've won multiple titles in the 90s with all the talent OSU had. Cooper was the worst big game coach I've ever seen.Anyone voting for John Cooper should be shot.
He might not be the best, but I think Lloyd Carr has a spot on this list.

I went with Frank Beamer. He won a lot of games and put VT on the map.
Before Beamer, VT had a total of 6 bowl appearances in their history. 4 years after Beamer's arrival, VT made a bowl game every single year he was the coach, more than 20 bowl appearances.
He is also one of the few coaches who has over 200 wins in his career, with 238 of them.
Synder isn't a bad choice, but there is something to be said about maintaining success for a longer period of time IMO.
I lived in Manhattan during the 90's and I have a soft spot for him, but I feel like K-State had some good successful years and Beamer built a program that seems to have sustainability. Created a culture and things that just don't really exist at K-State.
I was just as likely to meet a Nebraska fan as I was a K-State fan, excluding students of course.
Both are good coaches, I guess it's just what you put more stock into.
That already happen once and he had to come back. They won't be so lucky next time. They will fall off the face of the earth when he leaves.

Now how is that even possible? His inattention to recruiting was also a large component in ASU's fall from contention in the late 80's, which they've still never really recovered from.
