At this point what do they have to lose? Doesn't look like they are playoff bound and that offense is about as bad as it gets right now. Probably doesn't fix the issues but I have a hard time thinking he could be much worse than what we have seen.

Yeah, but who is he going to pass the ball to?

At this point it certainly can't hurt. Let's see how he does.

No clue. Rams problems go way beyond the QB for sure but at least they will get a bit of experience for the QB they view as the future of the team.

Sure.

I would've had him out there week 1 if I was a coach. San Francisco is/was theoretically one of the easiest teams on their schedule and Goff is the future of the team.

Sits all year, then when he finally gets a start, its against Suh. Does Fisher hate Goff?

I predicted both Goff/Wentz to be terrible QBs.

So far I'm right with Wentz. Your 100+ QB rating games were against Pitts/Cleveland at home and Detroit. WAY TO GO CHAMP!

Goff will be the second coming of Bradford (injury mania) without the actual talent.

Don't pat yourself on the back too much. Most rookies, especially QBs, hit that wall.

Not saying they don't but I think when we step back and take a look the chances are pretty slim. And even if they are still thinking they can win the division not like the starting QB has done anything so far this year. I mean they have 2 wins where they didn't even score an offensive touchdown. So maybe this provides a bit of a spark to the offense and gets the young kid some experience.

Yep.

By the numbers the Rams are still in the playoff picture if we're getting technical, but they have scored 139 pts...to put that into perspective...CLE has scored 175...not all of it is on Keenum, but 9 games is enough of a sample to say we need to try something different.

And really the easiest switch is that of QB especially when they are the 1st overall pick QB. Yeah I don't think it solves the issues for that offense but right now no great fix is on the horizon until this off season.
