Because remember that whole 'stats doesn't tell the whole story' thing? Did you watch either game?

Yes, they don't matter if teams are scoring garbage points to make games appear closer than they actually are.

You went to OT with one and needed a late 4th quarter punt return in the other. So there wasnt any garbage time.

Think you missed an edit to that post. So again, did you watch either game? Have you ever seen a game where the clear better team struggled against a team they shouldn't struggle with?

If the stats look even that must mean one team was exposed? Give me a break...

So explain to me how Washington was the clear better team, when the numbers say otherwise and so does the score?

I did watch the Utah game and Washington actually caught a break on the punt return. I didn't see any of the Arizona game, but when a team puts u almost 500 yards of offense, has 3 turnovers to 1 for Washington and it goes to OT. I don't see how that points to one team being clearly better?

I did explain it to you. They made unforced mistakes. Beyond that Arizona found success with the ground game in the first half, but UW adjusted the second. You can say they caught a break on the punt return, I'll say Utah caught 3 breaks that directly led to 21 of their 24 points.

The last 3 scoring drives for Utah were 13 play 61 yards, 11 plays 75 yards and 7 plays 75 yards. What 3 breaks did they catch?

And hell I just looked at the drive history. Arizona ran in the 2nd half still, they had a 55 yard TD run. I even saw Arizona had an 86 yard drive where they came away with no points.

I told you, they were held on third or 4th down each time, and we're given a 1st down each time because of a dumb penalty. I'm done repeating myself now. Think what you want.

Because remember that whole 'stats doesn't tell the whole story' thing? Did you watch either game? Every one of Utah's 3 touchdowns came from a second chance from a dumb UW penalty (one being a questionable call) after being held on 3rd or 4th down.

Sorry, Dudecicle. Just ask @MAIZEandBLUE09, that kind of analysis only makes sense if we're taking UofM football

Jeez.

If you didn't watch the game, then stop referencing it like you know what the fuck went on.

Are you saying Arizona didn't have an 86 yard drive where they didn't score? Didn't have almost 500 yards of offense? And didn't take you to overtime?

Does it mean it didn't happen if everyone, not on the west coast, didn't watch the game?

No, what I am saying is that if you can tell everything about a game without watching it, you are nothing more than a box score troll and there is no sense in having a further conversation with you.

And because of that, I'm out.

Or you know your excuses are ridiculous and that is why 'you are out'. :pound:

Yeah I know, it was Arizona that found something in the first half, but Washington made adjustments. Yet, Arizona had 250 yards of offense and 14 points in the 1st half and 225 yards in the 2nd and 14 points.

Or it was Washington making mistakes and Arizona capitalizing on them -- yet Arizona is the one who had 3 turnovers, including a drive they went 86 yards and didn't score, while Washington had 1 turnover.

I realize Washington fans are beyond excited -- Michigan fans are in the same boat. It is humorous listening to the excuses though. Just be happy the Pac-12 is a disaster right now and Washington is the best of lot.

Wow, you really are clueless. :L

Anyone that watched both of those games would say, and have said (including national pundits) that UW outplayed the final score in both. They simply made too many self inflicted errors to come out by the margin they should have. That happens in college all the time. It's not easy to win on the road. How many top 10 teams have fallen on the road this year? And some top flight programs along the way. Ask Ohio State what playing on the road and making mistakes does to you.

The others are right. Reading a box score does nothing to tell you how a team really played. This is why we have a committee to decide the rankings to begin with. You have to see how the teams played to understand the outcomes. That's football 101 really.

Washington did the same in that Arizona game as Ohio St did vs Penn St as far as penalties wise, they both were undisciplined but Ohio St dominated the box score and the game in general. Penn St played a flawless game and came back in the 4th. Arizona moved the ball the ENTIRE GAME but they didn't play anything to a flawless game bc they gave the ball away 3 times. Sorry, but UW was far from dominating that game or being in complete control at any point, like Ohio St was in their game.

The fact that some UW fans are even arguing about his is strange, they won--only thing that matters but they barely beat an Arizona team that is BAD. They are 2-7 and the game was close the entire game, not sure how they totally outplayed Arizona bc they simply didn't. Every team has tough games and I am sure UW learned a lot from this game.

Feel free to post the articles from the national pundits. I'd love to read them -- especially the Arizona game where the Wildcats had 3 turnovers to 1 for Washington. And had basically the same amount of 1st downs and total yards.

No need for the Utah game. I watched it and saw the same block in the backs the refs missed (as did many national pundits) that led to the winning score on the punt return.

Where did I suggest those were exactly equal games? I said ask Ohio State how hard it is to win on the road when you make mistakes. That's all I said.

There are games you lose because the other team outperforms you. There are also games you lose because you committed too many unforced errors. UW shot themselves in the foot over and over and over again in the Arizona game... And still came out with a win. That's just a fact. For whatever reason they are people up here not able to grasp what that means. I'll take an ugly bad played game on the road that ends in a win as long as it ends in a win.

No idea why so many of you are trying so hard to knock them down, but it is amusing to see all of these excuses to justify it.

Don't tell them. I'm having fun with this. I enjoy listening to the excuses and the always popular (national pundits said we were the much better team) -- that's why I cannot wait for them to post the articles not written by their local newspaper. :suds:

I wonder what is taking so long on the articles where the national pundits talked about how Washington outplayed the final score :pound:
