I don't let it do that to me either. I take OU football losses a little harder at the moment but when it's over it's over. Don't take the division title for granted, guys.
Winnings 90 games 5 times in 7 years is not a mistake. Thanks for the Run JD. I hope they have a few years left in it.

You are right. Better get my division title shirt and cap like I did last year.

Was going to ask you about OU but thought better. :-)

Condolences to all of my fellow Rangers fans. I hope JD gets some things figured out. It is too early to make any major decisions, but I think Banny's postseason managing needs to be evaluated. Everything and everybody needs to be evaluated.

I will repeat what I said Friday. I will no longer get too excited by regular season success, at least not in the next few seasons. If they can't make a deep run in the postseason I would just as soon they not even go. I am at the same point I was at after the terrible postseasons in 1998 and 1999.

JD has some work to do. It should be an interesting postseason.

Ranger losses are harder sports wise than my other sports but yes our joy must emanate from above. That being said I hope I do not die without seeing a Ranger WSC this is a great site for diehard Ranger fans

You know, I'm actually at peace about this, because short of winning the WS, does it really matter when you get eliminated?

I'm all about 2017. This is my team. And always will be. I'm just troubled about going into next year with Banister as manager, a very suspect middle infield, and SP who completely shit the bed when it mattered most.

Ever since Cruz didn't catch that ball, this team has taken on the trait of collapsing when it matters most. Hamilton's drop in Oakland, blowing a huge lead in september the next year, and now 2 straight postseason collapses. It just keeps happening. Something drastic has to change within the organization.

And my heart breaks for Adrian Beltre. To be surrounded by such mentally weak teammates has got to kill him.

The team might go places next year..... if Banister doesn't try to get us matched up with a team who mashes tons of home runs and generally owns us when we play again.

And I am dead serious about firing Jeff Banister. You truly have to have a single digit IQ to bring Jake Diekman into this game. Seriously, he is dumber than a bunch of rocks.

If JD had any level of cajones he would sit Banister down tomorrow and fire his butt. THere is no possible freaking way the Texas Rangers will ever do ANYTHING in October with that ignoramus as our manager.

If you go up thread you will see quite a few head scratches on the Jake Deikman call. I cannot nor will not take that away from your rant. Bad call we know it and everyone else other than Banny knew it. Of course he should have known the depth of RH batters on the BJ bench and in a one run game they would pull the trigger. We also know that if the BJs allowed a lefty to bat the results would have been the same. Yes we all knew the proper call was to have Kela or Bush start that inning. We don't need to say "in retrospect" because we KNOW Jake has been horrible for close to two months and fails to finish an inning. So you are right horrible call and everyone KNEW that.

However, calling for the dismissal of a manager who in his first two seasons has two Division titles to his credit is ludicrous. That's right two seasons and two Division titles.

We can talk more on this later. However what manager really expects his three top rotation pitchers to shat the bed in the playoffs. It happened though and that severely limits your options. What would have been interesting is if we won in extras what would be our game 4 options. The pen was used. All of it except for Dyson. Game 4 would need Perez to pitch 7 quality innings . But you never get to figure that out if you lose.

We need to be able to beat the best teams and not have a team that needs to avoid any other team. You aren't going to be able to go places if you have to hide from teams.

This right here is the epitome of a losers mindset.

This is the most pussy ass take I've ever read. You don't tank regular season games for any reason. The Blue Jays were not even in the postseason when Texas already won HFA. So jockeying for position makes no sense. The Sox were lucky to not get their own asses swept by the injury riddled Indians today. 5 game series are a crapshoot and always will be.

Advocating for taking the foot off the pedal is so foolish. Just accept it and move on already.

You can say what you want, but the smartest coach in the NFL ( Belichick) and the smartest coach in the NBA ( Popovich) definitely take advantage of the opportunity to dictate certain matchups or avoid certain matchups when they have the opportunity to do so. For the last few weeks, the Jays were the likely wild card matchup and they never fell out of that position despite several teams who tried desperately to catch them.

They have 7 game series in the NBA I do not buy that Bill would not tank a game to face an easier opponent. This is a ludicrous conversation. If you tell me JET fuel doesn't melt steel beams next I am out.

Division titles. Hmmm... Honest question: Should we have a ring ceremony on opening day next year to hand out AL West Championship rings? Think the players would be into that?

You play to win a World Series. Nothing less.

Only bright spot in this is no more noon weekday playoff games. This one still ticks me off

The post season schedule for the Rangers was total BS, not that it would have changed the outcome one bit.
