That's why it would be attractive to trade him, but I don't see JD doing it, because Elvis seems like a team first guy.

I heard they might try Odor in the outfield next spring.

I think that would be a very good idea, but I would still be open to trading him if some team wanted to overpay for him.

When the regular season ended, we were not ready for October baseball. It was going to be difficult to continue with the rotation lacking #3 #4. The offense had fallen off badly and and the J's played solid ball but it did not matter who we played, we were not prime when we needed to be.

Honestly, I had no confidence in this teams post season chances after the way we played/hit during the month leading up to the PS.

But when you're 3 starters pitch a combined 10 1/3 innings and have almost a FOURTEEN ERA, and your 2-5 hitters hit a combined .144 you can't beat anyone.

I have great faith in JD too. However, we've got more holes than can be filled in one off season IMO. So I'm less optimistic than I've been in years as to where this team is headed in 2017 and beyond.

Know it excites no one here about the prospect of having both or either of these men back. But then again, the FA market isn't much and aren't we getting pretty thin in the minor league talent level to depend on a trade?

Don't want Holland back at $11m, but I think for $7-8m I bring him back on a 1-year deal and give him a shot to prove something as a #5 starter.
