Well now that Houston is out of the playoff conversation...

I assume the ACC, SEC and Big Ten Champion will get in. There's still a chance for the PAC 12 Champion if UW wins it. Otherwise it will be a loss team from the ACC/SEC/B1G.

Boise State is the last remaining G5 threat .... assuming Air Force doesn't come back against Wyoming and Western Michigan doesn't do anything impressive in the next 4 weeks.

Yeah I mean if Washington runs the table and goes to the Pac-12 Championship who are they gonna face? Colorado? Utah? Just seems that a 1 loss B1G/SEC/or ACC team gets in. Like what you said.

Does Boise State have the SoS though? Maybe they could but I'd hope Louisville loses again or Washington loses because the Playoff Committee is biased towards those teams it seems.

If UW runs the table, they will get in. There's no way a 13-0 PAC 12 team is getting left out. Honestly, I think a 12-1 PAC 12 Champion is a lock at this point. The question is what happens if a two loss team wins the PAC

Washington has the inside track if they run the table. Boise St. should be ignored only at your own risk if they run the table, as I suspect they'd at least be up into the top 10 at that point. The question would be if they'd leap enough 1-2 loss teams from P5 conferences to get to 4th.

A 13-0 PAC team is a lock which would obviously have to be Washington if they run the table. Any one loss ACC, SEC, or BIG champ trumps a one loss PAC champ but I'd also say a one loss PAC champ trumps any one loss Big 12 champ.

And an undefeated Boise if it even were to happen has zero chance.

1 loss Stanford could get in if they somehow could catch UW and win the championship, fairly unlikely though I agree.

I really want a SEC-PAC game in the first round since we rarely see those two conferences matchup!

Who replaces them?

Realistically i think houston was still out of the playoff at this point regardless. Even with 13-0, They would have still needed OU to win big 12 and for another power 5 to have a 2 loss champ.

I think an undefeated Houston with a win over Louisville would have almost certainly gotten in over a one loss PAC 12 or Big 12 champ.

Its definitely possible. But weve seen how much the committee values Power 5 teams thus far. The highest rank any G5 team has gotten in commitee ranking history was Memphis at #13.
