So, where does Art Briles wind up next?

Some trollinators on another thread are saying he will be the next head coach at LSU, or that he will end up at another SEC school as a head coach or assistant. I'm calling bullshit on those assumptions. No way an SEC program stoops that low, even at Kentucky, which badly needs a good head coach.

Most likely landing spot is right back in the Big 12 at Kansas. Although USC-west and Oregon could be looking soon. If memory serves correctly, the Ducks supplied Baylor with some of their sexual assaulters, so now the Bears can repay the favor by giving them a coach who looks the other way. The Trojans have made a habit of making bad hires the last several years; might as well continue the trend.

I don't think Briles could find a home at ESPN, but he could possibly turn up at Fox - either as a sports analyst or as another cog in their "We report, you decide" news network. Might be an improvement over Roger Ailes.

I haven't seen the relaxed standards but I'll keep Orgeron before Briles. That dude is toxic and I haven't heard one fan who wants anything to do with him.

Also, I'm pretty sure Herman is out of the picture at this point. It sounds like LSU has moved past him in the search.

I think Briles could potentially go to LSU, Auburn, or some school that's desperate......say like an South Carolina type school.....in a P5, nothing to lose.......I don't think it will be a school like Kansas.....they fired their best coach ever because he cursed at a few players.

I'll say this though, I don't think Briles has much interest in going ANYWHERE outside the state of Texas. He might not have a choice tho.

I think that Art is just damaged goods, and no one wants him. The moment he steps foot on campus, all hell would break loose with protest. The guy is scum.

If he does end up somewhere I imagine it would be at some Mid-America or FCS school.
