Siemain is blowing Brock out of the water right now. Every important stat trends dramatically towards TS.

Like Elway said last Thursday, some of your best deals are the one you don't make.

And Elway trolls someone on Twitter after 512 days after the guys questions the TS pick in 2015.. Elway is so competitive I do not want to be Brent coming into Denver in a few weeks, You know Elway will be down in the locker room letting the guys know this is personal.

We know little about Lynch - other than he is not ready.
Siemian Has done a great job with an offense that is not as good as Denver fans believe.
He'll continue to play and you'll see what he's got. Damn, he's a rookie, guys!
Lynch could be a total bust!

Well I would say the offense showed up pretty good yesterday. Put up more points against this Cincinnati defense than the always talked about Pittsburgh offense. While I would never say they are as good as Pittsburgh right now I think there are plenty who are underestimating this offense and the improvements that have bee made. Maybe we overestimate it but I think plenty underestimate it. Every week I see people picking against the Broncos just not believing they are a good team in this league this year. 7th round QB's just shouldn't be doing what Siemian is doing and this run game should be shut down. That is what a lot of people keep thinking. Yet every week I would hope they are making people a little bit more of a believer in what they are doing.

I saw that! Heck I know Cecil Lamney called it the worst pick of the entire draft for us to have taken him in the 7th round. He really wasn't that great in college but there are plenty of guys who don't put up the stats in college that come to the pros and get surrounded by the right environment and turn things around in a hurry. Plus to me a 7th round pick...most of them don't even make the team and spend the first couple of years on the practice squad in the hopes they can develop into a special teams/back up type player. Right now we have a 7th round pick in Riley Dixon who is our starting punter and looked pretty good yesterday (probably his best game so far), Corey Nelson who has done well in spot duty, Virgil Green who has turned into a pretty good starting TE in this league, and of course Siemian who might win AFC offensive player of the week after his game yesterday. So the 7th round hasn't just been throw away picks for the Broncos for the most part.

Good comment from online i thought I would share:

Siemian hit ten different receivers against the Bengals.

I’m cautiously optimistic that Siemian’s training as a cool-hand system QB and all it entails—Kubiak play-calling, play action, multiple targets, using the whole field—may ease the transition as opposing defenses study film.

Obviously there are patterns. One can almost hear head coaches snarling at their defensive coordinators, "Do something about Sanders!" But some of those patterns may be based on opposing defenses making an extra effort to keep DT out of the game.

The lack of a true #3 receiver and the lack of depth at TE are offset by the sheer number of reasonably competent backup receivers and the emerging big play threat from RB receptions.

A future slump is a real concern but Siemian’s skill set is sneaky-robust: high IQ, fast release, learns new plays quickly, spreads the ball more in each game, unflappable… Despite the serious errors in the face of pressure, there are some signs that Siemian and the unit as a whole are growing more resilient.

Speed and skill with progressions are the final frontiers but that’s true of almost all young QBs.

what i saw yesterday was a team saying "Okay, we know you like to run the ball... so we are gonna stack the box and make your QB and WR beat us on the outside and deep"
Trevor was shaky first half, but man he started opening up in the 2nd. IDK how you can't be excited about what he is showing so far. I'm not calling him the next coming of Aaron Rodgers or Tom Brady, but a serviceable QB drafted round 7 under team control for 3 more years I believe? and being paid pennies? and with Lynch behind him? How can you not love that? and with all the salary cap room we have next year and 5 picks in the top 150 in next year's draft?! I mean good god almighty!

The Broncos are definitely set up for success! And honestly now we don't have to start looking at cutting guys unless we absolutely want to. We could keep Talib as he is playing great once again and just continue to add to the depth of this team.

Also I would add that with Siemian showing his deep ball ability in this last game it should cause teams to back off just a bit. I still think teams will work to stop the run and force the ball into Siemian's hands as hey a guy still with only 3 starts to his name will be prone to some bad games. Still though this should back some teams off a bit on those 3rd down plays knowing that if they leave the one-on-one to the outside we will be willing to test them deep.

Great game for Siemian but even more so just for our offense to show that we can win with offense and win with both the run and pass game when needed.

Great teams find ways to win games in a variety of ways. God we are lucky to be bronco fans

I agree completely! And I think that is exactly what we have done. We are a much more versatile team this year with having won games with our run game and our pass game now on offense. And we are clicking on offense much faster than I thought we would. Siemian deserves a lot of credit but I'm also going to give the OL a ton of credit. They have played so much better than I ever thought they would at this point with 4 new starters in a ZBS. Usually takes at least 8 games for them to start clicking yet we are already seeing decent consistency with these guys playing together.

What I liked best about Siemian yesterday was that he was having a bad game and then at some point settled himself down and turned it around to start having a good game. I was at work yesterday so I could not see pass blocking and what was going on during the game, I could only be a fan and cheer at what was being said on the radio. Therefore I cannot say if that was really affecting Siemian early when Okung went out. I have also heard Ty did not have a really good game either, so I do know that affected his performance (I do not blame Ty either though, he is just getting back from the elbow injury and the injury last year).

If Siemian can continue to show this ability to shake off his early game performance and continue to show improvement, I am in on him. The next couple of years could get very interesting as Siemian and Lynch continue to progress and the QB battles in training camp.

OL wise not their best performance. Injuries, being on the road, and having to shuffle throughout the game definitely did not help the cause. And yeah Ty probably had the worst game of anybody on the OL. Gave up some pressure and at least one sack. I think another one he gave up was negated by a penalty.

And honestly I would say Siemian's worst part of his game right now is decision making/passing ability with pressure in his face. When he has a clean pocket he can throw it much better than I ever thought. Having to throw off his back foot though or having to make a decision much faster than he wanted has not ended well for him. He had one pass that once again got tipped as he was throwing and just hung in the air forever. Thankfully 2 Bengals players ran into each other trying to intercept it and dropped it. And he had a couple of other throws like that. So if there is one area I would say he needs to really work at in practice (which still isn't quite like live action where they can actually hit you) is that of working under pressure.

The Bengals though were a tough match up for the young QB. Good secondary and great front-4 in my opinion. Yet he hung in there like you said after starting out the day playing pretty terribly and played one of the best 4th quarters by a QB that I can remember. He really does have that calm attitude that the coaches and players keep talking about. Also was listening to something today and they were talking that on DT's touchdown pass he went to the huddle and told him to run deep and that he would throw it to him and give him a chance. At that point we had just seen DT fumble, have the false start, have a drop, and honestly just wasn't backing up his words from earlier in the week but the kid gave him a chance to go make a play and boy did he.

Add in if we really want Lynch as trade bait for some ungodly amount if he starts to look excellent next year in preseason

At this point the Broncos can sit on these guys for this year and next year in my opinion. See which one wins the job and then after next year trade one of them for big time draft capital. We could be looking at another Jay Cutler type trade. Hopefully we take a little more advantage of that type of trade. Getting a bit ahead of ourselves after 3 games but it does look like the Broncos are looking much better at the QB position this year than last year.

Call it cautious, but I think Denver fans are looking over Siemian expecting Elway or Peyton to be coming. I think Siemian is the real deal. Have you no balls friend? You are 3-0 with a 4th string rookie!

Oh I'm still on the thought process that Siemian is our stop gap QB waiting for Lynch to take over next year. I like Siemian and think he is playing above most expectations so far this year. And I think we can win with a QB like Siemian. I just don't think he is a top-10 QB where I do think Lynch could become that type of player in this league. Again I would love for Siemian to be our starter all year because that means the team is doing well and most likely he is doing pretty well. Plus the better he plays the more trade value he or Lynch brings to the team.

I understand this. I don't agree. I am not one that thinks that Lynch is an automatic success. I'm not sure he makes it at all. I think you have the answer at hand and are looking for?????

I'm happy with either of them becoming a good QB. You are right Lynch is not promised to be a good QB in this league. I just know that Elway is down right giddy with getting this kid and when a HOF QB keeps talking over and over about how much he loves this kid and what he can do it gets me excited about his possibilities.

And again I do hope that Siemian can continue to grow and become a great starter in this league. As long as the Broncos have a great starter and somebody they can build around for the next hopefully 15 years or more then I would be one excited fan. We have been looking for that QB since Elway joined us back in 83'. All others that have had great success have been brought in from elsewhere like that of Plummer and Manning. Plus having our QB position cost controlled like we do it means we can build great talent around them for the next 4 or so years. Keeps us in that Super Bowl window you hope your team can be in.

Siemian could very well be the real deal. But it is still early. His first two games were serviceable, but not awe inspiring. His third game, with him starting out rough only to finish very strong, was the most impressive outing. Not easy for a young QB to "right the ship" mid-game like that. The real test will come in the next few weeks now that teams have game film. If Siemian shows he can adapt to other teams keying on him, we very well may have something special on our hands.
