This one is 100% on Banny. Just astronomically stupid. Claudio was cruising and still had pitches left to throw. Instead Banny puts in the WORST pitcher on the team to face Cano-Cruz-Seager.

Why do our hitters swing at the WORST pitches? Other teams just don't do that. I have yet to see a Mariners hitter swing at one near his head like Mitch just did. That pitch wasn't even in the same zip code as the strike zone. Make the pitcher throw quality pitches!!! Some of our guys just go up there blindly guessing.

Probably the same reason they take so many strikes down the middle of the plate and watch so many 3rd strikes. Just bad approach and up there guessing and hoping

I really hope we're just getting all of the bad pitching and coaching out of our systems now before October hits because these last few games have been some of the most brutal to watch this season in terms of complete failure in those two areas.
