What will they do to Jimmy G and company in the big toaster?

Jimmy scares me waaaay more than Brady. Mobile, Belichick calling the plays, young, and quite frankly more talented than Brady. I think the cards may only win by 14 considering...

I am curious, what do you base your comment “more talented than Brady” on?

Jimmy Garoppolo:

64% completion rate (19 of 27 passes)

188 Yards

6.1 yards per attempt

1 TD

This can’t support the “more talented statement”

I can give you younger, more mobile and trained up in the offensive system

But I can’t support the more talented……

People seem to want the separate the mental part of being a QB from "talent" which is kind of strange. Peyton Manning wasn't really that athletic, never quite had a rocket arm exactly (heck, remember the Ryan Leaf fans?) but after retiring he's on the short list for some of the greatest QB's, and players period, to play the game. Heck, I don't think he ever had an NFL arm for the duration of his stay in Denver.

I agree with your viewpoint. I think talent can be viewed both ways... On the job Training get you to a level of knowledge and that enables you to be wiser in throwing and reading defenses. Where as raw physical talent and lack of experience will not get you to the same level of success that time and putting in the work and actual experience can provide.

This right here. The truly greats really for any position are not always the most athletic but are many times the guys who are just mentally tougher and smarter than anybody else on the field. They know their weaknesses and play to their strengths really well. Peyton like you said never really had a rocket arm so he never tried to smoke one into tight coverage but would dink and dunk the heck out of a team down the field because he knew exactly what coverage they would be running and where the holes would open up. Tom Brady falls into that same category with just a bit stronger arm but not as good of a deep ball as Peyton. Drew Brees is not what you would consider the great athletic big QB by any means but for a big chunk of his career has been a top-5 guy.

I do think Jimmy G has all the ability to be a great QB in this league but until we see him actually playing in a game and having to mentally handle all that a team will throw at him we just don't know what he actually is as a QB. Plenty of gifted arms have flamed out of the NFL. Just have to see if Jimmy G is the next.

yes I am.....can you enlighten me as to what I am doing incorrectly?

Most of the Patriots fans here have a big target on us. That's OK because most of us have thick skin and enjoy the sparring. Don't take anything personally and all is good.
They take what wins they can get here because if for example you were a Tennessee Titans fan your team has no hope against the Pats. <Snicker>

Thanks Carnzo I realize that the world hates a winner.

I also just ask for facts...show me where I need to stand corrected if I am wrong and if they make a statement that I feel is misleading or wrong support it in fact... lots of people like to write and hide and not back up what they write... Me... I am an old soldier and I walk the talk. Shoot straight and believe in freedom of speech...but truth fed speech.... not what is popular at the moment and baseless in fact. Thanks for the feedback.

I saw the cards play there and someone nailed me in the back of the head with a disposable camera. That tells you how long ago that was.

Of all the stadiums I have been too, the Vet was the biggest craphole of them all. The old Giants stadium wasn't too bad, but the fans were right there with the Eagles fans as far as lack of class. Every stadium has them, those two just seem to have well above the norm.

1) you're being serious

2) you're being horribly un-funny

3) you're being a patriots fan, and therefore presumably gay
