Watching Yanks and White Sox.... and WOW! Was Alex Avila the man who portrayed Jack Parkman in Major League II? I nearly dropped my coffee when I first looked! Sunglasses and all! ...well, except for the bat ability.

Axe Hair Products has dropped Matt Harvey as a pitchman.
I guess you could say they axed him.
However, now he has an axe to grind.

This situation could get hairy.

Man, Votto looks so frustrated. Every swing and miss he is cursing at himself. It's in his head big time.

So yeah, we all know the debacle of a call up of Joey Gallo last week. Banister said, "he wasn't going to put Gallo at 1B or LF since he's primarily played 3B at Round Rock this year."

Question 1: do you remember playing him in LF last year, dummy?
Question 2: maybe you've heard of your best hitter, Mr. Beltre? ...yeah, he plays 3B, so maybe this train of thought might have been better put to use IN MARCH!
Question 3: are you trying to win this year or not? -- if there ever was a team in need of a #3 SP with a plethora of hitters to trade, I'd like to see it.

Geezuz!

How much you wanna bet Dusty sends him back down?

From Rotoworld:
In his first appearance in the majors in 2016, Trea Turner went 3-for-3 with a walk on Friday against the Reds.

Turner, who made the start at second base while Daniel Murphy started at first, had two singles and a double. The Nationals reportedly intend to send him back down to Triple-A once Ryan Zimmerman returns from the paternity leave list, but he’s trying to show that he doesn’t have anything left to prove in the minors. By the way, Danny Espinosa went 0-for-3 with two strikeouts on Friday and is hitting .197 on the year. We're just saying.

Dusty can really be a bonehead when it comes to rookies.

More to baseball than offense:suds:

Trea Turner - 2B - Nationals
The Nationals want Trea Turner to improve defensively before promoting him to the major leagues full-time.

Turner is getting a look with Ryan Zimmerman (paternity) sidelined, but he'll head back to Syracuse after the weekend. The 22-year-old is ready to contribute offensively but he remains a liability defensively with eight errors this season. On the other hand, Danny Espinosa isn't hitting (.197 AVG) but is playing superb defense at shortstop. Turner started at second base Friday with Daniel Murphy filling in for Zimmerman at first.

Same thing with Profar I'm assuming.

Defense schmefense. These guys are professionals. Turner has been playing middle infield his whole life. I'm sure he can handle it. Drives me crazy. Like 8 errors is worse than 60 K's and a sub .200 average.
