Pinch hit single for Gyorko.
Evidently, Kevin Pillar said a gay slur. It's all big in the news, I've seen like a ton of articles on it, but none of them mention what he said.
So, what'd he say? Did he say fag? Queer? What? Is even mentioning stuff like this forbidden these days?
Holy shit, what woulda happened if he called Motte a pussy? Which group woulda been upset then?
I think we need a chart to keep track.
Then Bautista did his bat flip to calm things down
And I am so curious as to what Pillar said.
I'm not sure which apologies were more sneakily sarcastic, his or Harvey's.
I sold Conforto too early.
Hate it when that happens
Mike Trout will have surgery Wednesday to repair an ulnar collateral ligament tear in his left thumb and will be sidelined for 6-8 weeks.
The non-surgical route could have potentially cut Trout's rehab time roughly in half, but evidently the tear was deemed severe enough that surgery was deemed the best option. It's simply a brutal blow for fantasy owners, as Trout just isn't a guy that can be replaced. As far as the Angels go, they will move Cameron Maybin over to center field and will likely use Ben Revere most of the time in left. They've also called up Eric Young Jr. to provide depth.
Trea Turner suffered a broken right wrist Thursday in the Nationals' loss to the Cubs.
It's a worst-case scenario for the Nats. Turner stayed in the game for another inning after being hit by a pitch but was eventually lifted for Stephen Drew. While Turner's average is way down from last season when he hit an absurd .342 to finish runner-up in Rookie of the Year voting, he still sports a respectable .279 average and leads the majors with 35 steals. There's no timetable for Turner's return. Drew and Wilmer Difo will handle shortstop during his absence
This hasn't been posted in awhile and it's time:
How in the hell does Mike Scioscia keep his job? Ben Revere steals 5 bases in 7 games and is also hitting his ass of?
Kaleb Cowart gets called up, hits his ass off and then has an 0 fer 4 day?
Then start him until he has another bad day, then bench him. Continue this process until the poor guy is so confused, there is no choice but to send him back down to the minors.
I am astounded that The Sciosciapath is still a manager in major league baseball.
I am astounded that he is known as a successful, or at least, a "good" manager by the media, other managers, fans. I think he is one of the worst ever.
