Would you pay Brock 17/18 Mil a year? Do you think Denver will or go another direction?

I wouldn't and I don't think the Broncos will. To me Elway's words at the combine were really telling of what they are willing to pay. He said that this won't be Osweiler's big contract. He is wanting to see him take a middle class or lower contract. From what I understand they are offering something between what Foles and Dalton got this past year. I can't see Elway then deciding to bump that up another $3-6 million.

$12 million tops on a per year basis - you can build in incentives - like Manning had for the later years.

Just saw Denver was offering less than 16 mil. How much less is unknown. If he`s turning down 15 mil, then see ya later.

If I was Brock - I'd be thinking - do i really want to be a Cleveland Brown or LA Rams QB?

I agree this might just be the time when we find out if Brock - has good down field vision. I wouldn't doubt it if Elway isn't negotiating with some other QB he figures is just as good for next year as Brock, but cheaper. You know I thought it was strange that the Broncos didn't rap up Oz this time last year on an extension - it may have been the Broncos weren't sold yet - or it may have been Oz was looking for a payday and #1 status.

Maybe they think at what they saw in Simian gives them as much a shot as Oz does or at least an option if Oz prices himself out. I don`t know. Maybe behind closed doors they already have an agreement and their letting Manning and the media have their fun??? Guess we`ll find out with Manning at least by March 9. :)

I will repeat - I think the Broncos do like Trevor Siemian. If you look back at threads from pre-season last year - we had guys saying the Oz experiment was over. Also Siemian beat out a QB the Broncos liked and roster protected for a full season in his rookie go.

From what I have heard the Broncos offered him something in the $15 million range. Which in the Broncos' eyes is a pretty substantial contract. The problem is Osweiler's reps don't see it that way. They see that as a lowball offer compared to what they can get on the open market. So it sounds like the 2 sides are actually pretty far apart.

Sounds like Osweiler's agent is overplaying his hand. I've heard a couple "agent" opinions placing Osweiler's worth in the $15 MM/ year range. I'd bet any rumors placing a higher value are leaking from Oz's agent.

Don't forget, we did try and sign Tyrod Taylor last offseason. Not sure if Elway has all the confidence in Brock like he states

OC beat me to it - was going to say the same about our aggressive pursuit of Tyrod.

Don't be so sure. Bradford has much more starting experience behind him than Osweiler does. If anything, this likely sets a ceiling for Oz, and maybe we can get him cheaper.

Of course, if the chatter about Osweiler still being a one-read QB is true, we are probably better off without him.

Teams overpay on Potential QB's all the time Brock will be no different. I expected to lose Malik Danny and Brock going into FA. If He does move on what an interesting offseason for us.

Oz turned us down going to test the market . I say pull the offer and look else were . If he don't want to be a Bronco Fk him . If it is only money he has no clue .. As a QB you want a team that is solid

Good bye Don't let the door hit you in the ass ..
