Lmao, nothing tarnishes a career like pussying out and bailing on your team just because your pride gets in the way. First Spurrier, now Ryan.

Indiana fans are happier than anyone. Means the Hoosiers might actually stand a chance against the Badgers.

I mean, I'd be happier if Crean retired but I'll take this. Shameful ending to a great coaching career.

Been saying it all along...Marquette is the type of powerhouse program that can quite literally force opposing coaches to rethink their career path. Presbyterian your coach is next!!!

Pretty shitty to go the Spurrier route. Your team isn't good this year. Suck it up and finish it out like a man.

Issue is he is not a man. He proved that when he complained like the bitch he is after the title game last year

You guys have completely missed why Bo retired. His retirement is a noble act to try to get his assistant hired full time after Gard spent 10+ years turning down Head Coaching jobs to be there for Bo. This is the ultimate "If you help me, I'll help you." And Gard has definitely helped Bo.

Gard has his chance. His team will be 1,000% motivated because everybody wants Gard to get the job. They know the drill. Go from 7-5 to tournament team and you get your beloved assistant the job. All of our past alums will be pushing for it, as well.

And make no mistake. If this shitty team rallies to make the dance, the administration will feel the heat and have to hire Greg Gard.

Also, he didn't want to retire this Spring because he wanted Greg Gard to spend more time with his dying Father. But, of course, to the jealous Bo-haters he is "selfish" because he quit on his basketball team (who, by the way, all want Gard to be hired).

You guys are shameful.
