I think we are one defensive coordinator away from being National Champions aside from keeping people healthy.
I have a strong feeling that Kelly will not fire BVG. The only way he's leaving is if he has a job offer. I don't think anyone is going to come calling. Maybe a position coach in the NFL, but I doubt that pays even as good as the DC job at ND or a head coaching job at a mid-major.
How's this. Swarbrick tells him, you want to keep him, you're going to have to pay his salary. Cut Kelly's compensation accordingly.I'm afraid he won't either not this year but he will have to show he can get the job done next year if they don't let him go this year. If I were Swarbrick I wouldn't give Kelly a choice.
