On the bright side we're the only ones that really blew you out, you hung in with UCLA.

but you'll probably be looking for a new coach soon

@clarkson23devils fire up the Virginia Chip Kelly!!!

We should've been looking over two seasons ago if you ask me. I'd like to see this Jeff Brohm from WKU as an under the radar candidate. We haven't had much going on on offense since Matt Schaub and Heath Miller were around and he'd be a good guy as well I think that could possibly turn us around. But I definitely wouldn't turn down Chip if he was interested in coming in.

Has it really been that long? Schaub is already out of the NFL and Miller will be retiring soon I'm sure

Yeah, if you look at all of the mediocre QB's we've had since they left, you would definitely see how awful we've been at that position.

Wow, now using the 3rd stringer to get some playing time. Might as well I guess since this game is well in hand.

I would look but I'm sure I wouldn't recognize any names

It seems like Virginia was at least good more recently than Washington State has been

yet they really haven't

The most prominent QB we had since then was the guy after him, Marques Hagans, who was a RB before he became the QB. He was okay but nothing great. He ended up being a KR/PR in the NFL for a year and then never made a squad after that that I can recall.

If we got Brohm or Chip Kelly and if VT theoretically got RichRod next season, could you imagine what types of scores those games would be?

depends on if Bud Fosters is coaching VT's defense

that an offensive coach with Foster still coaching the D is a scary combo.

theoretically with no Foster at VT, would easily be highest scoring contest between the two since?? When's the last high scoring matchup?

The closest scores I've found were 36-32 and 41-38 back in the 90's. The others were either low scoring or blowouts.

That's what I thought, it will sure be an interesting offseason in the state of Virginia.

Don't understand why North Texas even bothered taking a timeout on that drive but I guess if you want to score an extra touchdown in garbage time and make your QB take a good hit, then go for it I guess. :noidea:

You could probably add about 20 points to each total if any 2 of those 3 coaches come to the two Virginia programs.

Easily sir

although this year's game might be a 16-7 Virginia Tech win

I am interested to see how Virginia would look with a new coach, London brought in "highly rated" classes

were they overrated players that others snuffed out that London didn't? Or did he just underachieve with those players?

This was a game that wasn't as close as the 55-28 score would indicate but WKU definitely didn't look all that interested in playing tonight and played their worst game of the year I think (and that includes the low scoring Vandy game and the 3 point loss to Indiana). They got to step up their game next week when they see Founette.

Definitely underacheived. He had some decent classes, yes, but he's a horrible coach that doesn't have a clue.

Here's a twitter comment that describes how stupid he is.

Eastern Michigan put up 22 on LSU

Western Kentucky certainly has the offense to do a lot better than that

but their defense can't stop the run

Fournette may break the record next week
