Let's break those two plays down. First one, all Wilson had to do was lead him in a little bit because he had his guy beat badly and it would have been a TD. So, either go for the throat and throw it inside or make the "safe" throw when we don't need the "safe" throw, where it's either his guy getting it or it's out of bounds.

Second one that was underthrown. Wilson obviously wanted to go to him because he was looking for him all the way. He could step into a throw and take the hit throwing a semi-blind ball to Lockett based on anticipation or scramble so he has a full view of the field and then try to deliver it.

You see the pattern here? We're training the guy to not make mistakes instead of making plays. That's on him but it's also on the coaching. It's ridiculous. I have no concerns about Wilson throwing a sweet deep ball because he can. You just can't pay a QB 20 million and tell him not to throw a receiver open or lead him inside for the big play.
You do know this is basically Pete's mantra don't you?
Run the ball.
Play great D.
Do not turn the ball over.
Is it that you feel Pete is the main problem with this team?

Shark is bipolar when it comes to adversity. If the Hawks go on a winning streak, Wilson will be the greatest qb ever. He's confused right now. Since when to the Seahawks give up a 17 point lead in the 4th quarter. You can't blame that one on the o-line.

My take on reading all of this is that it is the O lines fault because they didnt control the ball enough taking time off the clock not getting first downs having to punt all the time wearing the defense out

Rawls put up huge yards rushing, That doesn't happen if the olive is playing awful. Obviously they have problems with pass protection, but Wilson was breaking the pocket early all game long. They had a big lead going into the 4th. How do you not put some of that responsibility on the defense?

I'm still wondering why they traded to get Jimmy Graham.

What I'm saying is that's no longer inline with paying a QB 20 mill+ a season. You think the Packers or Pats are going to see if the defense and the running game is going to be able to bring it home for them? I'm not even arguing whether or not he's in that class, but it's a fact that he's now in that tax bracket. Things have changed and the team needs to adapt.

Ok, I hear what you are saying, but I think your plan is diametrically opposed to Pete's. I'm not trying to fight you on this. I think Pete sticks with his main tenets that I had just mentioned.
Pete's willingness to launch both Cristine and Turbo for Jackson and especially Rawls, shows Pete intending to keep the run game going.

Pete is not going to change and so the offensive philosophy will not change. Run, run and play defense has served him well. Hard to argue with the success he has had with that style of play.

If that's the case then we should trade Wilson to the Browns. With their QB situation they'd probably give us every 1st rounder until the 22nd century. Wilson's the highest paid player on the team. That's the guy you want deciding things. If PC can't see that then there's a serious disconnect somewhere between him and Schneider.

Just pointing out getting Pete to change is not likely. If the team shits the bed this season? Maybe he loosens up the offense.

So when Seattle puts up those points its "Cincy handing it them the lead" but when Dalton scores its him schooling us?

I agree the better team won today but get out of here with that pompous attitude.

Tip my cap to the Bengals for being 5-0 and playing a good game today but don't let it get to your head. Win some games when it actually matters first.

It was the definition of handing it to them. Holding call brings back a TD. Fumble gives Seattle a TD. etc, etc.

Did you watch the game?

So when Seattle had the big lead it was all about the Bengals handing it to them but when the Seahawks gave up the big lead it was all about how awesome the Bengals are? I guess they just let Dalton get sacked 4 times?

I love how Jelly starts a thread about Wilson given how he constantly says that Seahawks fans are obsessed about Luck. Luck is the 2nd best QB on the the Colts right now.

As for this game, the Seahawks allowed their conservative when holding a lead approach to bite them in the ass.

Not sure why people can't just say it was a good game with two good teams playing and one team ultimately won a very close game.

I give full marks to Dalton. Started strong and finished strong.

But that rush D wasn't good. Cincy has to be a favorite in the AFC playoffs, but they aren't a juggernaut.

Bicycle, hopefully by today you've calmed down. Heh.

Take a few minutes and mentally review the history of this franchise with QB's.

Correct me if I am reading you wrong. RW was up for a pay raise, and once he got that pay raise he became the highest paid player on the team. At that point the team should change their philosophy from a run 1st, defense oriented team to a more wide open passing oriented team. Is that what you are saying?

That is another reason why the Seahawks won't sniff the Super Bowl.

They had better pick it up if they even want to make the playoffs this year. I haven't seen the Seahawks look good yet this year. And they truly should have lost at home to DET, which would have been hilarious.

Eh. Lost an early start on the road to a good team. Kudos to the Bengals.

Seattle has been hovering about .500 in the early season several times in recent years. So it is a bit early to start preaching demise at this point. So all you trolls can just calm down on the stupid gloating.

That being said, the Seahawks need to pick it up. The D is where most of the money is spent and they need to be dominant or the Seahawks will not go anywhere this year.

It was a good game with two good teams. However, the way it played out was just crazy.

Going back to last years SB, how many times have we seen the Seahawks give up a 4th quarter lead? In the past, once Seattle got a lead it was lights out regardless of who they were playing. The way they are losing is very uncharacteristic of the Seattle teams we have seen in the past. That kind of a loss will linger with those players for a while.

There is certainly plenty of time to turn it around. They are still NFC West / NFC champs and it is not going to be easy to take that title from them.

The Seahawks have 4 straight losses in which they were winning in the 4th quarter. I'm starting to think there is a mental thing going on here.
