All this shows is that if you are star you can get away with just about anything.
dirt, a fucking FEDERAL JUDGE said today in his ruling part of the reason he vacated this was because goodell kept comparing it to PED's.
do you under-freakin-stand yet?
yes!!!!! its in the god damn ruling!!!!I haven't seen that
Has anyone?
yes!!!!! its in the god damn ruling!!!!
Really? Some balls were a little under inflated... I'd understand if there was some penalty imposed on Brady, but let's not pretend like he got away with murder or something. I'm sure guys get away with much worse, and a lot of the same...All this shows is that if you are star you can get away with just about anything.
its listed as part of the reason dirtI'd like to see where the judge gave this ruling because Goodell compared this to Peds
Thoughts?
You only get 2 choices because frankly, thats all there needs to be.
Or more likely it shows that as the commisioner getting $40 mil a year you should probably know your own rules and by laws before going to court to protect your image.All this shows is that if you are star you can get away with just about anything.
Horrible decision! I am SO MAD! I may go home and beat my wife and kids. CHEATER!
I don't have a wife anymore, so need someone's and my son is 6'3 football and rugby player, so I'm not going there
@DirtDirtDirt
from the ruling itself:
[T]he closest parallel of which I am aware is the collectively bargained discipline imposed for a first violation of the policy governing performance enhancing drug ... In our most recent Collective Bargaining Agreement, the parties (a) agreed to continue that level of discipline for a first violation [i.e., four-game suspension] and (b) further agreed that a player found to have used both a performance enhancing drug and a masking agent would receive a six-game suspension. The four-game suspension imposed on Mr. Brady is fully consistent with, if not more lenient than, the discipline ordinarily imposed for the most comparable effort by a player to secure an improper competitive advantage and (by using a masking agent) to cover up the underlying violation.
Award at 16 (emphasis added).
15 The Court finds that the NFL's collectively bargained for "Policy on Anabolic Steroids and Related Substances" ("Steroid Policy") is sui generis. It cannot, as a matter of law, serve as adequate notice of discipline to Brady. It also cannot reasonably be used as a comparator for Brady's four-game suspension for alleged ball deflation by others in the first half of the AFC Championship Game and for non-cooperation in the ensuing Investigation. The Steroid Policy is incorporated into the 2014 Player Policies, which sets forth in great detail "testing procedures," "procedures in response to positive tests or other evaluation," "suspension and related discipline," "appeal right," "burdens and standards of proof," and "discovery,"

I highly doubt the judge in NY was influenced by Tom Brady's stardom. Niether do you, admit it.
