This tells me they are calling him a liar and don't believe him.

Oh well. But again more leaks. WTF? Let's just say it is 4 games. Does Brady just accept it? Appeal it? Take it to court?

Good question. Basically the league called you a liar and a cheater. Suspended you worse than RR for beating his wife. They got mad cause you would not hand over your personal cell phone. Is it worth it to him anymore? IDK to honest. You got suspended based off of "maybe's, probably, most likely". They painted you as a bad guy and never put anything you said in the report. I think BB gets suspended for the yr also.

Correct me if I am wrong, didn't Roger suspended RR for 2 games before he saw the tape? He took his word right?

Since i am posting on a Patriots' site, my aleigence is obvious, but I will try to be as objective as possible here. We are now in the "penalty phase" of Deflategate. The NFL has a lot of power in this phase. They have the ability to levy stiff fines, take away multiple draft choices, suspend Brady and, possibly, even Belichick if they want to, even (I think) vacate the most recent Super Bowl victory (although that is highly unlikely). Any punishment issued by the NFL that Patriots fans might consider excessive would be heartily welcomed by the legions of Patriot haters out there. There is ample evidence, albeit circumstantial, from the Wells Report pointing to Brady to support any and all punishments. The fact that Brady refused to turn over his cell phone text records has been widely cited as reason enough for his suspension. In the face of all these assembled facts, what chance does Brady have? Well, maybe more than some people think. The NFL wants to get this whole thing done quickly and put it behind them. They have a bad track record with recent decisions, like the Ray Rice affair. The longer this plays out, the worse the NFL looks. They were already taking heat for how long Wells' investigation was taking. If Brady feels a suspension (say for the full season) is too much, he can appeal and drag it out even further. He, or his agent, could release information gathered during the investigation that is either supportive of Brady or is counter to the decision reached by Wells. In reading through the report, I found several pieces of information that directly contradict the decision which Wells either ignored, debunked, or called outright lies. If reports surface where this information is featured, the credibility of the Wells Report and also the credibility of the NFL may suffer. I think the NFL and Brady's people are meeting to try to work out a compromise decision that will save face for the NFL (in the end, that is their main goal) and be palatable to Brady. If that is the case, a full year suspension will never fly. Let's see what happens in the final act of this NFL/Patriots soap opera!

One thing I should have added to my post is that the NFL absolutely had to find the Patriots guilty of something, even if it's jaywalking in the Gillette Stadium parking lot. Goodell would not have survived anything less.

Well said. I'm like you no way Brady accepts a year. He'll either retire and or a combination of appeal and sueing the NFL for defifimation of character.

My grandson plays AAU Basketball and on of the kids on the has a parent who is a Dolphin fan. He hates the Patriots. We got into a "discussion" at practice Thursday night. He made some very interesting points.....

1) 95% of fans around the country hate the Patriots. Those fans effect the income of the 31 teams other than the Patriots.
2) 31 Owners other than the Krafts have to be appeased.
3) Goodell has to come down hard on Brady for something to appease 95% of the fan base and 31 other owners who are his employers.
4) Goodell has to do something to insure that the honesty of league is kept in the public trust.

My return argument was pretty simple.......+Other than not turning over his cell phone, what did Tom Brady do??

The answer...."He Cheated".

My reply....."Where in the report is Tom Brady directly accused of anything?"

The answer...."He doctored the footballs."

Neither the Patriots or Brady will ever be able to recover from all of the accusation, false statement and just plain bullshit, regardless of what happens going forward.

There are enough holes in that report, that I believe it will be a very winnable appeal by Brady and the NFLPA.

Everything hinges on the punishment. Once it comes down do any of the following want to appeal or file lawsuits; TB, BB, Kraft, or the NFLPA. Because there certainley is a lot of holes in the report. Because the NFL can still punish you without proof.

Another thing no-one is talking about is motive. Per the Wells report, the predicted PSI should have dropped between 11.32-11.52 PSI according to the Ideal Gas Law (based on gametime conditions).

If you take Prioleau’s measurements - only 3 of 11 balls fall below that tolerance explainable by the IGL.

If you take Blakeman’s measurements - 8 of 11 ball fall below tolerance.... by an average of .25PSI.

So, if the premise of the report is to believed, you have a guy taking anywhere from .25 to .5 PSI out of each ball after pregame inspection. Who on earth would even order such a miniscule adjustment in violation the the rules? That makes little sense.

Then you have the inconsistent gauge issues on top of that... the league's case looks very weak. I would be absolutely shocked if any kind of suspension is upheld after appeal. Nothing would please me more than seeing the league have to overturn another suspension and the eventual replacement of personnel in the main offices. Kensil needs to go.

All the haters just lapped up all the juvenile text messages between McNally and Jastremski. I still have found nothing that says Brady told these two jokers to do anything with the footballs. They have only confirmed at what psi Brady wants the footballs to be. Not that Brady had anything to do with knowing what those idiots were doing on their own. I think Brady will get 2-4 games for this whole piece of crap report 'just because'. As long as 4 is the max he is back for the Colts game. The Colts will be put thru the shredder that Sunday night.

Anything more than a fine the Patriots will fight tooth and nail. There's precedent. The Chargers were fined $25,000 for their equipment violation and Brett Favre was fined $50,000 for refusing to cooperate with the NFL. Goodell, the spineless coward, released the report to gauge the public reaction and, of course, since it's the Patriots (who are hated by other fan-bases and players because of their dominance, and hated by the media, because of Bellichick's refusal to give them anything) everyone is calling for a pound of flesh. Any suspension will be fought and fought hard. I would not be surprised if Bob Kraft goes full-on Al Davis and sues the league.

Except that Kraft has already said he will accept whatever the league hands down.
Essentially handed the hot potato to Brady.

I agree Yankee..Brady will be on his own for the appeal process given Kraft's statement.

Because all those texts could easily apply to ball prep before the officials sign off on them.

WOW!!!
4 games.
$1 million.
1st round pick.

On a maybe.

You know. I don't have a dime in the game except for a few jerseys and a few tickets.
I gave up completely after NASCAR went to the Car Of Tomorrow.
Haven't been to a race, watched a race, or bought a t shirt since.

NFL can kiss it too for ruining the integrity of their own game.

1st round in 2016 and 4th round pick in 2017.

This isn't a shock. Spygate.
