Just reserved lower level tickets and a room for four nights for the eagles redskins game next season. Fired up to see a bunch of former hokies on the field (i hope) also excited about rg3 and my first nfl game at fedex.

Montel Harris dismissed @ Boston College. The hits just keep on coming for Spags.

Conference USA targeting ODU

Conference USA targets Old Dominion University | HamptonRoads.com | PilotOnline.com

I think this would be great for ODU, 757, and really, the state of Virginia. I don't think this would have a HUGE impact on VT or UVA but might have some minor affects on recruiting. Some of those nice greyshirts and walk-ons from the state would probably go away. Great for those second tier guys who kind of get looked over by VT/UVA and have to go OOS to a MAC school or something like that. I think VA has enough talent around to support 3 FBS schools. I can't imagine that Richmond, JMU, W & M, and Liberty are too happy about it (4 very nice FBS programs IMO).

Sidenote: Could be a very nice landing spot for Philip Sims if the NCAA doesn't grant him "The waiver". Assuming this comes to fruition (I can't imagine ODU would turn this down) he could potentially transfer to a FCS school, play immediately, and then still have 2 years left playing FBS ball. That would be a huge kick-start for the ODU program who has done well in its short time of football...

dont like the sounds of that :(

take VT out of the equation and i have to agree that this will be big for the 757 and the state as a whole. Hell, odu could be a power fifty years from now.

as far as the sims thing, im not sure he would be exactly just handed the keys at odu:

Prob win out in the long run but they couldnt promise him playing time right out of the gate like whoVa.

VT and UVA are still the cream in this state and will be for a long time. I doubt Florida Atlantic/International wins over too many recruits in light of the schools in their state. Same could be said for ECU, Ohio and many others with respect to the state they are in. Not too worried about it..it would take a long time and a 60,000 person stadium to whoo many recruits away from VT/UVA to there. By the time they get there Lane Stadium will be at 125,000..

Another sidenote: It may be a nice landing spot for London when we beat the hell out of UVA 5 more times and they run him out of town...

Right, i was just agreeing that we will prob lose some GS/WO guys over the years.

EDIT: im hopeful that in 5 years london will have a hard time getting a gig coaching HS phys Ed.

Copied my post from another forum so its a little formal.

I'm a 23 yr old male who wants to lose some weight. I am an athletic build but have a little extra around the middle. I want to get from 200 to 185 lbs. I started using an app that tracks calories eaten and burned yesterday. It also gives you your target net calories for the day to meet your goals. My target net was 1870 calories. I entered everything I ate and it came to 1750 calories. Through my exercising i burned 450ish. That gave me a net of 1300 or so calories. My question is was that too few calories to have? A deficit is obviously good but 550 calories below the target is pretty low. I ate pretty healthy foods so the calorie counts were lower but i ate when i was hungry (many small meals) and was satisfied throughout the day. I will not be burning 450 calories every day through exercise in the future. I will do cardio most days and lift 3 days a week. Yesterday I did both and also had to cut the grass.

Is that big of a deficit actually going to negatively impact my efforts?
