If you want to be entertained for a few minutes, I suggest you look at the thread bashing Pens fans for not showing up to the game on Monday due to nine inches of snow. Hilarious post by Juliansteed.

I also wanted to take this opportunity to tell my harrowing story. I went to the game Monday. I was going to take the bus home (about a ten minute ride normally). I was waiting for the bus about a half an hour after the game when someone stopped and told me they stopped running. There were no cabs anywhere. I had no idea how I was going to get home.

I decided to walk, figuring it would really suck but would be doable. About a fourth of the way home I stepped in this gigantic puddle that had a layer of snow on it. I was ankle deep in freezing ice water wearing beat up tennis shoes that already had a couple holes in them.

Tried to soldier on, but the snow caked on my feet and my feet were literally so cold they were starting to get warm. I walked back to the city and went into the Greyhound station. By this time, I was shivering so violently, I couldn't talk. I took my shoes and socks off and wrapped my feet in the clothes I had from work that day.

My next option was to go to a hotel. I put my dress shoes on from work and set off again. I got about halfway to a hotel when I realized I couldn't go anymore. I was freezing and was so sleepy that I thought there was a chance I might pass out.

I went back to the Greyhound station and figured my last option was to hitchhike (there were no cabs anywhere). At this point it was midnight. I was outside when my roommate called me and said "Where are you?" I told him and he asked if I was okay and I couldn't even say anything because I was so cold and upset. He said "I'm coming to get you." I hadn't called him previously because he had to drive home from work (normally a 45 minute drive that took him 2 hours) and he drives a '98 Corolla...not exactly ideal for the conditions.

He came and got me and I made it home alive. One of the worst nights ever. I laid on the couch with a space heater blasting on me, those "hot hands" things laying all over me, and drinking tea with rum in it. Never again will I take being warm for granted, but I will definitely say...

I AM NOT A BANDWAGONER!!

Thanks everyone. I told a guy at work and he had a ball telling everyone the story. As one of my friends told me, "At least you have a funny story."

I left out the part that I didn't want to stay at the Greyhound station because the people there made me feel like I was on the set of a prison movie and I was carrying a sizeable amount of cash from selling a bunch of tickets to the game that night.

And even though we didn't score, it was still an intense game.

Hang out long enough at a Greyhound Station and you'll score for sure.

LMAO. Gave a rep for that one. Certainly true at this particular one.

I would be like Pascal Dupuis...

scoring unintentionally.
