This would be too good to be true. He's only coming here to run the whole show. Just heard on the radio that he has other suitors, including the Jets and the Falcons.

John Kiem says Jets are not going after him.

Thoughts on Scot McCloughan - Washington Redskins Blog - ESPN

McCloughan is not on the Jets' list from what I've been told. That's surprising given his ties to Ron Wolf, who is one of two consultants working for the Jets (along with Charley Casserly). Wolf gave McCloughan his start with a job in 1994. Not sure what the Jets' reasoning is for not including McCloughan in their search.

look guys it isnt like the jets , raiders or falcons are any better gigs then ours

imagine what you could become if you turned around this goat fuck

HOF'er anyone ?

Disagree, Atlanta just needs an upgraded defense and maybe a impact player on offense to return to playoff contenders. The Jets present just the opposite retooling needs (offense instead of defense). I'll agree on the Raiders, except that they no longer are distinguished by having the worst owner in the game. Sadly, there is a growing consensus that Dan Snyder now wears that crown the only difference being his title covers worst in all of professional sports.

SN: Google this.....Worst owner in sports (if you don't believe me)

the jets are every bit as jacked up as we are and have been perhaps since superbowl 3

atlanta you may have a point but they hadnt had back to back winning season until smith showed up

all i am saying is we dont need to shoot it down just yet like a bunch of negative nellies

not saying he will end up here but we have as good a shot as any of the contenders

He has to be asking himself if he can truly trust Dan to stay out of his way and not fire him the minute he disagrees with Snyder on a major roster move. Not to be dramatic, but this is big guys. This is a move that could give us our Redskins back. But it doesn't need to be Dan, Bruce, A.J, and Scot. It needs to be everyone get the hell out of the room, I got this type of deal. That's the only way it will work.

I agree, except the whole Dan, Bruce, A.J. thing will be the first test and insight into our team's future. If Dan and Mac agree to run this organization in a manner consistent with more successful teams, then it will be Dan who listens to his professional football manager. Bruce wll lose the GM title and either settle into a contract/cap/PR role with zero say on players, and no access to Snyder except where those things are concerned or he'll be replaced. Of course there will be no need for A.J if this hire takes place.

Just give him a blank check. With him handling personel and Wade heading the D we could have a turn around next year.

Sorry Dude, but if they actually manage to hire this guy and give him the kind of authority he should have. Its a VERY VERY bug deal and worth losing sleep over. Talk about a kick ass late Xmas gift from Ashburn.

He's already told the Raiders no. It is reported the he did in fact want the Raiders job but they wanted him to work under McKenzie, something he was unwilling to do. He wanted control over player personnel. Raiders were not ready to demote McKenzie.

Wade running the defense and McCloughan running what ever F#ing thing he wants then I think we win free agency without even signing a player.

God fuck... stop with all the Wade love. Wade is too laid back. We need an enforcer as DC, and WADE is NOT IT!!!

Wade is also as soft as Kim Kardashians ass covered in whipped cream. We need at least ONE senior coach that can be counted on to hold players accountable. Especially on our defense. Sorry but Wade just isnt that guy. Forget that i think he is over rated as a DC, I think he is entirely too soft for what we need.

As I've stated on the other thread, why are there interviews being scheduled and/or conducted in light of all of the speculation surrounding Scot McCoughlan? Seems to me that our team will offer the same rejected setup that Oakland did.(workng under Bruce Allen)

Skinsdad... Interviewing DCs is fine. But would you not agree that the Skins need another Gregg Williams type enforcer at DC presently?? Wade is too soft and likely would be yet another mistake because simply put, there is no accountability with our defense right now. And for all the Wade love, that has been one of his biggest issues from his time in Dallas as a DC and a Head Coach.
