The mistake with this is in thinking that people would not be freaking out of if a different SEC team had gone down tonight. There is a certain added oomph to it having been Bama, but make no mistake the majority of the schadenfreude is towards the conference as a whole. Bama just happened to be the representative tonight. It's not as if people would have held back and been subdued if Auburn, LSU, or UGA was there.
