But the weekend really makes me laugh at those who called both Mississippi schools being ranked as "their 15 minutes of fame." I'll admit that I was shocked by the Miss State score, but I don't think those that thought Bama would run through Ole Miss had watched Ole Miss's defense at work.

How the hell does Stanford drop 9 places with that outfuckingstanding D? Trees lost that game because of their O. Domers were lucky to survive and will lose to someone along the lines this year.

Yeah dropping Stanford 9 spots for losing to a now top 5 team on the road by 3 is a joke

I picked Miss St. to beat A&M, as for Ole Miss, they beat one good team so far, let's see if they can do it again away from home.

Why, because they played and beat one good team, don't think so.

What good team has Baylor beat?

SMU?
Northwestern St?
Buffalo?
Iowa State?
Texas?

I think Ole Miss's resume is a good chunk ahead of Baylor's, and the one semi decent team Baylor has played in Texas, Petty only completed 7 passes and looked beatable.

Problems:

1) Clemson ???
2) TCU should be ahead of Oklahoma
3) Oregon should be ahead of Michigan State

But they didn't get beat, can't punish them for winning.

I think they should rank the teams based on what they've accomplshed in a season and thus far this season, Ole Miss has accomplished more than Baylor.

But Ole Miss started out much lower in the rankings, can't jump Baylor just because they played a great game and beat Bama at home. Tex may not be good, but they have a really good defense and Baylor went to there house and won. Now if Ole Miss does it again on the road, then yes maybe, but TCU and Baylor mix it up next week, then we will see.

That may change next week when Baylor and TCU mix it up. But my guess is that TCU will be out of gas after putting it all on the field to beat OU. Same goes for Ole Miss and Miss St.

Where you start out the season ranked should have no bearing on the rankings in week 6. Reward teams for big wins.

It's not like the rankings this week will mean much when determining who makes the playoffs. If Ole Miss craps the bed next week, move them down accordingly and call the Bama win a fluke. A lot of football left to play. But right now, the top 3 needs to be.

1. FSU
2. Auburn
3. Ole Miss

Worry about next week when it gets here.
