Only a complete fucking moron would think a first round potential kid will return for their sr season. No one thinks Shaq will return and I'm sure there are others around the conference that have high draft potential and still another year of eligibility.

Returning probably hurt Jake Locker when he did so, but he needed that extra time to work in a more pro style offense. There are some high potential kids that return now and then, but it's rare and normally there is a good reason for it beyond simply because a few fans are more concerned with their college program than the future of their stars.

Good luck to all of the juniors that will be entering the draft. There are a few that will be making waves at the next level.

But does he have enough bullets?

It takes awhile to "hand load" your own ammo. That is the 64 million dollar Q SoCaljim.

Meh he made his name winning the WAC without Boise, Fresno or Nevada in it.

Guess you haven't followed his coaching past his time at Utah State, but a peeky into Wisconsin might help you swallow your bolded statement above.

GO BEAVZ!

Yep. Matt Leinart came back for his senior season after winning the Heisman, actually put up better numbers his senior year than he did his junior year and STILL dropped from #1 to #10, costing him several million dollars.

When guys who are considered first round picks decide to come back for one more year of college, it sends up a red flag for NFL scouts. The first thing they do is start questioning why. Then, they spend the next season picking the player apart and finding reasons to downgrade him.

I can't remember the last time a guy who was considered a top pick, chose to come back and had it actually improve his draft stock.

If Wiz would have said #1 pick instead of 1st round potential it would have made sense. There has been multiple potential 1st round picks return for another year.

MM has achieved all he can in college, no reason to risk millions on a potential injury next season. He gone. Win OR lose in this upcoming playoff has no meaning at this point other than another feather or two in his ballcap.

He's got a national title to win..

Is it to early to predict the 2015 PAC standings...? I think I want to give it a try.

MM the 2nd... Morgan Mahalak is ready to take the keys to the Bentley Phantom and lead Oregon to back to back PAC titles and 5 of last 7.

Replacing a Heisman isn't easy. But if anyone is groomed to do it, it would be a Private School 3 year starter (St. Marin).

No QB in the history of Oregon will have had more weapons to start their career at QB.

Just a taste.

WRs: Addison, Carrington, D Allen, Marshall, Stanford

RBs: Freeman, Tyner, 4 star Tony James, 4 star Taj Griffin

Utility RB/WR: Nelson, Ty Griffin

O-Line: Crosby, Hunt, Pierson, Brenner, preseason AA Johnstone.

SCARY

Washington's year to contend for North is 2016 I believe.

With the loss of 4 top 40 NFL draft picks on defense will set them back a little.

Petey will have them ready by '16 IMO.

PAC will rule the first 2 rounds of this draft.

It will be an unbelievable display of PAC talent entering the league.

PAC could easily get 3 teams into NY big 6 games next year.

Zona, SoCal, and Oregon.

All 3 will start top 12.

Zona has everyone coming back.

Zona, SoCal, and Oregon.

All 3 will start top 12.

Zona has everyone coming back.

They have 12 returning starters next year, losing 3/5 of their o-line and 3/5 of their secondary, both of which were very good this year.

But they do have very good skill position players coming back on offense. The south could come down to the Territorial Cup again next year.

ASU returns 16, including 9 on defense. Depending on whether or not Kelly is still considered the starting QB that number could be 17, but Jaelen Strong is almost certainly going to the NFL.

Agreed. But with a year of our JRs, Sophs, and Freshies agressively being indoctrinated into the offense Pete was implementing, I expect our offense will be putting more points on the board in '15. Plus our DB which going into 2014 was very green filled with youth, they will be much better at defending the pass next year.

We lose a lot at the front 7, but we still got some capable players at those spots. For 15, expect teams to run and short pass against us better. We'll have to work harder at forcing turnovers and generating points to bailout out our O.

No 13th game next year. Standard 12 games. Pac schedules besides OOC aren't out yet, but I'd like to think we're looking at 8-9 Ws in 2015 unless we take a huge step backwards. Progress will be made on offense. The D will give up more yds. The challenge in 15 will be a very tough road schedule.
