The PAC-12 already has buyers remorse with Colorado.

Colorado went from bouncing checks and collecting government assistance from the Big 12......to bouncing checks and collecting government assistance from the Pac-12.

The PAC-12 loves the enhanced revenue overall from the magical #12, but they probably wish they did not have such a financial drain like CU. If they could go back in time, they would have taken anyone but Colorado for the 12 teams.

I have no idea how the proud Buffalo alumni and donors can stand the financial mismanagement in power at Boulder.

According to my cousin in Colorado they're too stoned to care anymore. :D

If we are BUILDING the B12 then add Penn too and get into PA/Philly market/academics and they have a nice sized stadium already (50k if memory serves).

Penn? As in the Pennsylvania Quackers? Are you being serious or are you just clowning around?

Being serious, every P5 conference has a "nerd" program (Stanford,Duke,Northwestern,Vandy). Penn could be ours and just like UCF/USF in FL after a few years of B12 level recruiting in PA/Jersey/Maryland and the right head man leading the program IMO they could have the same type of runs that we have seen from all those schools mentioned.

Remember, Im talking BUILDING, similar to what the BigEast did when they grabbed USF, UConn and Louisville when the first wave of teams left that conference. The BIG prides itself on having those AAU programs in large markets and it seems to pay dividends, that's my thinking anyway.

If they expanded, this is how I personally would rate the candidates in order. BYU, Cincy, UCF, and I'll be a homer and put Boise a very distant 4th (big gap behind UCF there). If they went to 12, any of the first three teams would be good choices I think.

I agree with HS, I think the state of FL is high on the B12 list when expansion is talked about and I also think the moves would be made east of the Mississippi if at all possible.

Getting UCF might not get us too much ground in florida, with the ACC and SEC having strong footholds. But getting Cincy in ohio is way more realistic. Ohio only has 1 other big team, and its in the B1G. Big 12 football trumps B1G football, and ohio has room for 1 more big time team. Also ohio isn't too far from West Virginia, kansas, and Iowa so plucking kids out of there isn't as hard.

Ahahahahaha! So true

Where is John01992 when you need him to tell us how great CU athletics are..... :L

Hahaha I liked that clown. Although he was a bit stupid from time to time. He tried to tell me Maryland is garunteed to have to pay the ACC $50 mill upon leaving. :laugh3:

I see that your MO is to troll the Big 10 and Nebraska full time.

The Big 12 Conference Champion is 2-6 in BCS bowl games the last 8 years. The 2 wins you ask? Oklahoma over Connecticut and Oklahoma State over Stanford in 2011.

You don't lose 4 teams of the likes of Texas A&M, Missouri, Colorado, and Nebraska and become a stronger conference by adding TCU and West Virginia. And with TCU and WVU being a collective 12-24 in Big 12 games, it now seems like more than a stretch with neither program finishing above .500 in conference games in 4 combined seasons.

Big 12 Champion Baylor just got their shit pushed in by UCF. Big 12 Champion Kansas State got their shit pushed in by 2012 Pac 12 runner up Oregon.

Maybe you are banking your entire comment on OU's win over Alabama last year? A game in which OU won the turnover battle +4 and were outgained by nearly 100 yards. Hell, even Utah beat an Alabama team that didn't want to be in the Sugar Bowl back in 2008.

Did you also know that the Big 12's BCS bowl game win percentage is below that of the Big 10?

And here you are talking about adding Cincinnati and UCF to make the Big 12 more prominent. :L

What's WVU and TCU's record in BCS games the last 8 years? How bout Mizzu/A&M/CU/Nebraska/RU/Maryland? I mean if we are using BCS games as measuring sticks... BTW UCF and Cincy have more appearances/wins in BCS games than RU or Maryland ever will as well so...:noidea:

And what did TCU's and WVU's records in BCS games mean when they entered the Big 12? 12-24 in combined conference play and never a winning season in conference play.

As for UCF and Cincy? Get after it. WVU is already asking for travelling expenses in the Big 12, and you now want to bring in Cincy and USF? You do know that the SF in USF is South Florida, right? Even UCF would be a gigantic travelling venture for the bottom half of the conference.

NO DOUBT! The BIG XII became weaker when Nebraska, Colorado, A&M and Missouri left. Those 4 schools went 4-10 in the BIG XII title game. Baylor and Oklahoma State never got a chance to play in that title game but they immediately won the conference when those program left.

Missouri and Nebraska have both gone on to play for the title in each of their new conference, as they should being the two best that left the conference having played in the last 5 BIG XII title games combined.

A&M and Colorado have limited success in the latter years of their BIG XII experience and its transitioned over to their new conference with A&M improving some and Colorado just got worse.

TCU and WVU are solid replacements over Colorado and Missouri IMO. Being =/= at a minimal.

Now that leaves Nebraska and A&M.

FSU and Clemson would undoubtedly replace and increase the strength of the old BIG XII. A&M is easier to replace and WVU has potential to supplant them with recent success but they need a new coach. Nebraska could only be replaced with a big name like an FSU, an LSU, some power program.

With that all said, all these programs I've discussed are beneath the Sooners so whatever, Boomer Sooner bitches. :yahoo:

For one thing the teams that TCU and WVU have fielded these past couple of years couldn't hold a candle to their teams that competed in and won BCS games, not even remotely close. Secondly, maybe they're both also struggling because top to bottom the Big 12 is tough, better than the Big 10 IMO.

Right.

Just like the Utah teams didn't hold a candle to their past and struggle to win games in the Pac 12.

And yes, the Big 12 is so tough that their conference champ gets rolled by double digits in the last 2 seasons in BCS bowl games. Yep, that pronounces tough as tough can be.

Did you watch those Utah teams from 2004 and 2008? Did you really watch them actually play? I don't give a shit who the competition was those were special teams, top 5 type teams easily. Damn good football teams up there with the best in the country in those particular seasons. And if they could have played the crap Utah teams from these past couple of seasons, they would have absolutely destroyed them regardless of conference affiliation.
