I'm sure the actual numbers will come out sometime tonight, but for now we have the preliminary report that this one eclipsed the first one.

Well this time the seismometers were inside the stadium so I can't say that's unexpected.

Man I love Marshawn so much. He comes up so big for us in these playoff games whereas Shaun Alexander playing behind the best o-line of the decade was always quiet in the playoffs

The thing that impresses me the most is that he runs possessed. Rarely do you see one guy tackle him, it almost always needs a gang tackle to actually get him down. Hellava RB and as a Niner fan, the scariest guy on your offense, bar none.

Well Gore is no slouch himself. It was Gore that beat us in our last meeting, not Kaepernick or Crabree/Boldin. When he breaks explosive plays he isn't easy to bring down.

That's why many say we are built so similarly. Strong defense, strong running game, and the occasionally explosive, but often inconsistent passing game.

Best all-around RB in the league because of the yds after contact. The motor never stops.

Especially impressive because many of the NFL talking heads claimed with all the NFL rules emphasis on protecting the QB and making the league pass happy, that the era of the work horse RB in the NFL was over. Lynch is proving to them that the work horse RB is alive and well.

All hail BeastMode.

Not only that but Goodell's quest to silence defenses and turn every game into a shootout isn't going so well. The last three teams in the NFC are it's best defenses.

He was so awesome yesterday. Also, I don't think I've ever seen him so animated after a good run or a touchdown.

Marshawn is the man!!!!!!!

I must admit, I went apeshit at home. Spilled my beer and probably woke the neighbours up.

Adrian Peterson is still much better.

What were his stats yesterday?

Because lynch single-handedly carried them to the playoffs (which, for the record, Peterson actually did manage last year).

Last year, and I'm sure there was still 52 other players on that team. Also, it's hard to make that point when the Vikings were better when he wasn't in the lineup.

This year:

Peterson - 279-1266-10 29-171-1 308-1437-11
Lynch - 329-1397-14 37-319-2 366-1716-16

In the words of Shawn and Gus ♫"Suck It"♫

The point is that being in the playoffs for a running back is silly to consider.

And no one, no one is in a discussion with Peterson. He is so far above his peers it is absurd
