That's not how it works.Sark will take the hit, not UW....

That is how it works. Go read the post in the UW forum.
Take a look at Calipari in college basketball and see where the penalties fall.
Ok I read it and I will state that I do not understand the 4 tier system because I haven't read the supporting documentation. That is how it works. Go read the post in the UW forum.

However from what I read it looks like Sark will not be able to switch schools without this following him (that is good and will stop some of this crap) however it doesn't absolve UW of issues or sanctions. Looks like to me the NCAA could nail both.
I could be wrong but the new regs don't just punish the coach and keep the school innocent of any violations.
UW might be on the hook for something minor, but right now this is looking a lot worse for Sarkisian.
Well, assuming further investigations don't show this to be the tip of the iceberg.
thought it was fishy that Sark was about to win 8 games this year.

so major LOL at USC.
Although this might be perfect for Haden. He might be able to have reason now to get rid of Sark because the hire was so un popular. Great way to back peddle here.
For Sarkisian, these violations would fall under the new head coach responsibility bylaws. Proposal 2012–15 was adopted with immediate effect by the Board of Directors on October 30, 2012. The payments are alleged to have occurred on or about February 25 and May 18, 2013. That means Sarkisian’s responsibility will be judged under the new bylaw which presumes he is responsible for any violation committed by his assistants. He can rebut that presumption by showing that he adequately monitored the activities of his assistants and promoted an atmosphere of compliance. While the NCAA had issued best practice documents about what that entails, no case has established what the Committee on Infractions says is enough to rebut the presumption of responsibility.
It's a new bylaw. So unless Sark can prove he had no idea, he is facing suspensions for at least a year, if anything is proven to be true.

3 years from now when the investigation is wrapped up they will conclude the kid paid the money back by then...
Why would you rat out the guy who got you tutoring and helped you get into college/foseball in the first place?
Careful with your comments about this being an unpopular hire at USC. TF12 has assured me that I am a dumb ass for being less than impressed with Sark to USC. I personally believe Washington got a huge upgrade in the coaching department. We will see who is correct. In a few years...
Two thoughts:I asked about the new 4 tier penalty thing as well, there is a link further in the thread explaining it.
To punish UW with anything more than a slap on the wrist they are going to have to show a lack of institutional control, and I don't see that happening with just this.
