Lucky you arent missing much but a terrible Broncos performance.
Well, this was as bad a game as we've endured in a long time. I guess we're due.
Came at a terrible time.
Not really. The divisional round of the playoffs is a terrible time. This is an irritating game to watch, but it does not even come close to spelling the end for our season.
Very true.
It's interesting to me that with all the talk about the last few teams to win the Super Bowl being 10-6, 9-7, etc, very little has been mentioned about most of the last teams to win the Super Bowl have had defenses that were statistically mediocre or even bad, but played good when the playoffs started, or caught a few breaks.
Meanwhile the best defenses in the playoffs last year, (Seahawks, Broncos, 49ers) all gave up 30+ in what would be their final game of the season.
"Defense wins Championships"
Not in this NFL.
I hear ya but name me a defense that gives up as many points per game as Denver's D does that won it all. Yes it can get better but there is alot of work to do.
Well thats 1 team at least. It can be done but it doesnt happen to often. I still believe there is enough talent on this defense but something has to get done or change.
I agree the offense didnt play well either all Im asking is for improvement from week to week on defense and if anything it has gotten worse. Well on to the next game. Take it easy man.
I agree. I was expecting the defense to show us some improvement down the stretch. They have not had a game where they have just taken over. In many of their games they have had their moments, but in a couple of them, like tonight, they were as inept as any Broncos defense in recent memory. They were just bad tonight.
I hope they do something about it this week. Maybe some time off and hopefully injury free remaining two games before the playoffs begin will help. But one thing I'm not going to do is write off a still damn-good season. If the defense can play even a little better this will be a hard team for anyone to beat in the playoffs.
