Only 1 thread about this topic going and it is just about McCarron. Who you guys got?

Quarterbacks:

1) Jameis Winston - (no charges = Heisman runaway; charges = look below)
2) Jordan Lynch - (3852 total yards - 2418 passing, 1434 rushing; 38 total tds; only 5 ints; leads his team in passing, rushing, and tds, and his team is 10-0)
3) Derek Carr - (3948 passing yds; 41 total tds; only 4 ints; team is 10-0)
4) johnnyhollywood - (4148 total yds which is great; 40 tds which is great; but 14 turnovers and 15 sacks; no signature win paired with 3 losses; great talent but he's not protecting the ball and they are losing)
5) Teddy Bridgewater - (3288 total yards; 25 tds; only 3 ints)

Running Backs: (all of the first 3 have their teams bowl eligible with 7-4 records)

1) Andre Williams - (2073 yds rushing which is nearly 500 more than 2nd place; 16 tds; 2 fumbles; 6.5 yds/carry)
2) Bishop Sankey - (1833 total yards; 18 total tds; 2 fumbles; 5.8 yds/carry)
3) Kadeem Carey - (1737 total yards; 17 total tds; 2 fumbles; 5.4 yds/carry)

Other Positions:

1) WR Mike Evans - (1314 yards; 12 tds; the kicker - leads nation in yds/catch at 21.5)
2) CB Justin Gilbert - (6 ints; 3 def/spc teams tds; 400 kr yards; has his team BCS bound)
3) WR Brandon Cooks - (#1 in nation in yds, 1560; #2 in nation in tds, 15)
4) TE Jace Amaro - (by far bar none the best TE in the country; 1157 yards which is 400 yards more than 2nd place; 6 tds)

Thoughts? Rankings?

Bama fans will not be happy that you left off McCarron.

I know. But he just doesn't fit in there, imo. Good player on the best team, and deserves the lifetime acheivement award (college wise). But not he Heisman.

He has 7 turnovers; less passing yds than Lynch (not even including the 1400 less yds rushing); and less tds than everyone else.

Eric Ebron is a better TE than Amaro. He may not put up the stats because of the different systems but Ebron>>Amaro.

I think Bryce Petty is still a legit contender. 1 INT all year. 36 or 39 total TDs.

Good player, but we are going to have to differ on that one.

If I were a voter,

1. Jameis Winston
2. Jordan Lynch
3. Marcus Mariota

Andre Williams and Manziel would be 4th and 5th, but the Heisman ballot only goes to 3.

It is tough to leave Petty and Mariota off the list, agreed. Maybe they could/should replace Bridgewater depending on how everyone finishes.

I just hope its not all QB's this year.

Dartboard central.

The talking heads can't get any of their favorites in right now.

The dumbasses at ESPN have to regroup. I fully expect a Jordan Lynch push from those fucking losers to influence the voting like they do every year.

Maybe Andre 2000 will get some love as well. Either way, it sucks. The best player will not win the award.

I know it won't happen - but I seriously think Justin Gilbert should be getting some attention.

6 ints (3rd in country); 3 d/st touchdowns; Just shut down both Texas and Baylor in consecutive weeks. If he plays well next vs Oklahoma and his team wins the Big 12 - I don't see how he doesn't at least get teased.

If it's a quarterback, McCarron

If it's a running back, Kadeem Carey

My pick is CJ Mosely. He is the best linebacker and defensive player in the country. The guy is a dominate monster and is the anchor of a freshman and sophomore load defense. He is a class act and an excellent role model for his actions on and off the field.

McCarron won't even be invited, nor should he be.

And who is the best player?

I would vote for Jordan Lynch.

NIU is a middling MAC team without him. With him they are possibly BCS bound 2 years in a row.

2nd would be Manziel. Hell, it is probably 1a 1b with these 2.

No other player in college football means as much to their team's success than those 2 players. Not even sure it is even a question.

If NIU is a mid mac team without Lynch, why aren't you giving Derek Carr any love?

If 8-3 without a single ranked win = success, then my Longhorns are having a monster year.:laugh3:

It will depend on these last two games imo. If he plays well and leads us to victory over two highly ranked teams, I would say he gets an invite. No way he wins though, we just aren't flashy enough.
