That list is today. 10 years from now, James will be number 1. He's better than MJ was, it is what it is

The game is also different now than what it was. Put James 1v1 against Jordan in his prime and I will take Jordan EVERY SINGLE TIME.

Jerry West should be there someplace, probably instead of Kidd.

Put Jordan 1 on 1 with Kareem, Wilt, Russell or even Chris Bosh and MJ would lose every time.

Also this is the wrong thread for your last incorrect statement.

LeBron also hasn't played on the downhill of his career: the time when a player's stats go downhill.

Quick point back on this, if you look at the all time lists not per game, LBJ is a season to 4 away from being very high on some of those lists.

Magic Johnson
Oscar Robertson
John Stockton
Isiah Thomas
Gary Payton

Good list, bro. I never saw Oscar Robertson play but Gary Payton is definitely one of the best. He gets overlooked a lot but he was an awesome on ball defender and excellent all around pg.

That is a good list, I would have included Kidd, but its hard to argue GP

I had Kidd on my list but I totally forgot about GP. He could be argued as top 5. At least in the modern era.

I love the Big O but his numbers were really inflated because of the era.

@lakersrule it makes sense

as for LBJ not being on the list...

Saying LBJ does not belong in the top 10 is inaccurate. He already has a body of work that is better than most of those in the top 10, and he still has 3-5 years of prime left.

His body of work is not yet better than most on my list. Let him finish his career out. It is very possible that you will be right then.

Dude averaged a triple-double one season. Came very close in a couple of others. Say what you want about inflated numbers, but he was no doubt one of the best of that era. Oscar would be successful in any era.

1 on 1? You'd lose

:laugh3::laugh3:

Jordan damn sure is the best one-on-one player who ever lived. Look, there's a three-player list you can choose from for greatest player ever: Bill Russell, Magic Johnson and Jordan. That's the list and it ain't expandable. But best one-on-one player? I don't want to hear that LeBron is bigger and stronger (which he is). LeBron is going to retire as one of the five greatest players ever. But one-on-one? His skills aren't Jordan's skills. Jordan was a better shooter, had an almost hypnotic control of the basketball in space or when guarded and had the best footwork of any perimeter player ever. And he was the most clutch ever. Jordan was an assassin. He would have lebron in tears...

You should really get some counseling for your drug habit. You gotta get off the pipe...
