If they use the same offensive scheme they have the last two weeks it's another beating. I'm putting our slow start squarely on play calling. Yeah we have injuries but so does every other team. Kaepernick isn't ready to take the team and carry them and he shouldn't have to to begin with.

Run. The. Ball.

I thought that you guys had a great coach and GM.... who have yet to develop any quality players, unless of course you count Kap and Aldon Smith.

Who has more sacks than Aldon Smith since he came into the league? Because it certainly isn't Bruce Irvin who is serving a four game suspension for PED's.

Lol, I'm pretty sure he knows that.

tough game to call. The way ive been going in my pickem league, whoever I pick to win will get housed.....

So i think im going SF.

PS: not a death sentence for SF either. Seattle went 0-3 in the divisional road games last year and ended up with 11 wins. Just leaves no margin for error.

I'm getting excited. I think the Rams have a chance to pull this off.

Hope the Rams can pull this off - the 49ers have a lot of key injuries. Smith (out a month), Crabtree, Willis and Vernon Davis are game time decisions. Am I miss anybody else?

I want to see the Rams run the ball more - only averaging 57 yards per game. And the Rams defense needs to put pressure on Kaepernick. Only way you can shut him down.

I'll take the Rams at home in a close one, 6 points or less.

Got the Rams 20-16. Good thing Aldon Smith is out since we had protection issues last game. I agree though our running game will be important. Last year we ran more than 60 times against the 49ers in those 2 games, even if the yards per rush were low. Our defense has regressed though but still the Rams have a great shot.

Here is my prediction: Rams fans, no need to send any frustrating PM's to me ok? :suds:

The Rams have had zero run game, so the Niners will simply drop back and force Bradford to dump the ball of all night. That's his favorite thing to do so I'm sure he won't mind. When it does get to 3rd and long, look for Bradford to get that deer in the headlights look and turn the ball over.

Last year the Niners had to respect the run game of SJ and that helped set up the occasional play action deep pass to Givens. But that isn't there this year for the Rams.

On defense, I agree that Fisher knows how to coach against the Niners, but it won't help when his defense is out there all game long after a bunch of short possessions by the offense. This game is just what the doctor ordered for a SF down on their luck the past 2 weeks.

Rams will do their usual thing and put up some late points thanks the prevent defense. But they'll just be more garbage yards and mean nothing. Look for a big game by Gore and Hunter as the Niners re-commit to the run. Game won't be as close as the score indicates.

Niners 27
Rams 20

Just my 2 cents so don't freak out.

It's a likely scenario but I 'm taking the Rams and 3.5 points with my estimable vCash fortune.

I don't think this will be a showcase of the NFC West that many expected when the season started

Or as Mike Mayock would put it "Vernon Davis is one excited football player who will be on the football field tonight ready to catch the football for his football team in front of some excited football fans here to see a great football game in this beautiful football stadium."

I am NOT looking forward to two hours of Mayock tonight. :bawling:

and San Francisco didn't beat the Rams in either game last year and San Fran went to the Super Bowl. People forget the Rams went 4-1-1 within the division last season (Sam Bradford is 5-1-1 in his last seven division games). Also, people forget that it's not just SF that is desperate for a win, STL is just as desperate. Both teams won their first game, but they are a combined 0-4 since then.

the 49ers have played the Rams more than any other team in their history

and the Rams have played the 49ers more than any other team in their history

Rams lead the series 62-61-3

in the 2000s, the series was tied 10-10

so far in the 2010s, the 49ers are up 3-2-1

Since 2005, 49ers lead the series 11-3-1

9ers are looking washed. Hope the Rams win big tonight and the army of 9er bandwagon fans start burning their Craperdick jerseys on YouTube.
