Pretty much guarantee it will be modified to suit him. Same with all racquets that top pros use, really. This just in. Was checking my FB page when I saw a post from Tennis Express. Federer is indeed using a 98 sqin frame. Didn't say which one but stay tuned.... I will find out more.
Hmmm. I've enjoyed using the Wilson nPro Open for like 5 years now. There are two versions of it and I use the one meant for peeps using an extreme western grip...as I do. It has been the perfect racquet for this club player - it works for heavy baseline strokes in clay-court singles matches but has great touch and spin generation for when I'm playing doubles with the old guys.
That said, I suppose it's time to start seeing if some racquets have progressed as I like 'em.
When does the US Open series begin?
He really needed the practice! Watched most of the Florian match, but turned away to catch some news at 5-5 in the 3rd! Still waiting to see who won it; ESPN holding back on the final score! BTW, the German Open is a 500 series event; or so it says on the screen!
