The Oline could've been better at pass protection at times (seemed like a mid season slump) but their run blocking was outstanding pretty much all season.

I didn't see much of the TAMU/Bama game but I'm guessing that's what you're mostly referring to.

We kept it close in 2010. That was a different team though. Our defense is strong but the O has a lot of new faces. Still, if USC and aTm can nip them, I don't think it is out of the question to get a giant upset.

Not really. Turnovers and play calling killed us in that one (not to mention Manziel making a couple ridiculous plays). McCarron threw 2 of his 3 picks that game, one bounced off Bell's hands the other was on 4th down in the endzone (this is where we really should have been running the ball, I was sooo fucking frustrated). Yeldon also fumbled in the redzone to kill a huge drive. Lacy and Yeldon only ran the ball 26 times combined.

LT was all world his sophomore year. now he sucks? he had zero protection and zero running game last year. He will be a RS-Sr. I am not concerned. If you watched the team last year you know his lack of production was rarely on him. New OL coach. New OC. new QB coach. i am quietly confident.

Even if what you say is true that's pretty tough. Especially for the first game of the season.

You need time to work the kinks out with that many new coaches. Bama is literally one of the last teams I would want to face with that many new coaches.

I don't see it, but I will be rooting for VT anyway.

Don't get me wrong aTm played a good game but we had our chances, just didn't capitalize. They scored 20 the 1st qtr but only 9 the rest of the game. I got tired of hearing Swope's name that's for damn sure.

It would but we're used to having a big fat target on us at this point. Any time Saban has an extended period of time to prepare for someone it makes it pretty tough on the opposing team.
