Watch after all this talk of stopping Kaep and the Read-Option offense of the Pistol we might not even run 1 play from that formation. I'm wondering if the game plan will be to go back to earlier in the season and use our heavy sets to run the ball and wear down an undersized Atlanta defense. They might not have to worry about stopping Kaep as much as stopping Gore, and then Vernon Davis from getting deep off of play-action.

My thoughts since the Packer game are that this one will be similar. It will be close for a half and in the 2nd half, the 49ers oline and dline will wear down the Falcons. Gore and Kaep will gash them for big runs and Aldon will hurry Ryan's throws. Its just not a good matchup for the Falcunts.

Hey CMRIBG, what's your connection to the Chargers? (I'm assuming since you live there, that's granted.) Grow up there or just now? What do you think of the McCoy hire? I'm not a fan of the Chargers, but since I grew up rooting for the Utah Utes, I hope Weddle does well and now that McCoy is there, I can root for him when he's not playing us. McCoy was a QB at Utah and Weddle a safety/CB (not sure) there.

They got rid of the 'likes' apparently, and I wouldn't be surprised if his incessant liking of everything played a factor (that might have been his goal), maybe just the comments on the main board. I didn't mind the likes because it was like an acknowledgment of humor gotten or seeing a reply to a post. I used it when I thought something was funny or agreed but didn't want to post. Or just saying "I got it" when someone responded to me. I assume no one looked at it, but just in case any did. Rep was better, but meaningless - that was just a place for me to do the same thing I did with likes and to comment privately and directly to a poster - who also may never have seen it.

That thought pops in my head, but only because I hope our guys aren't lsitening, i hope they are to busy training.

I just think a game this big against a team this good they won't come in as flat as they have the other 3rd games of the season, I don't see how it's possible to not come in fired up for this game.

I'm sure it's going to fire up the falcons to though, but I genuinely feel like if we don't come out flat and destroy ourselves all game we could eventually wear the falcons down.

yep, they'll be fired up and very tough early on. at minimum stay close in the 1st quarter, and that reduces the 'fired up'. should we take the lead.......

for the game, just don't turn it over and we'll be fine.

This game will be close, no more then a 10 point spread I believe. I would say 31-23
