It's recruiting. Kids don't want to leave the south and that is where the vast majority of the talent is. It IS a race thing, it IS a location thing and until the B1G can find a way to consistently draw elite talent out of the south, the SEC will hold court.

I'm talking about the conference, not a team.

If say OU wins the NC next year, it' doesn't make the Big 12 the best conference.

You are correct, because OU has already won an NC. Now if over the next two or three years KSU and Kansas were to win a NC, then you could start puffing up about the Big 12. I think we’ve made progress here. Good work.

no it doesn't. but if OU, Texas, Oklahoma St., and Kansas St. win the next 6 I would consider it the best (sorry, couldn't think of any good teams besides OU/Texas......talk about top heavy)

Until someone stands up to an SEC team in the title game it's really not a discussion.

I really wish someone would shut them the fuck up.

College football is supposed to be cyclical, well this is an awfully drawn out part of the cycle.

someone did........too bad it was fucking Bama :L

The SEC has the lowest average IQ fan base, second to the ACC. That should tell ya something.

Oh hell yes! I predicted the “cheating” response, but you went “IQ”

God, some days it’s just awesome to be alive!

what should it tell us? Not our fault Bama is in the conference

In all fairness the only reason the ACC is so low is because of the U, miami.

Personally I think everyone is a little right, but I've been trying to tell the SEC fans that they aren't that dominant for a long time. You have fans of teams who got it handed to them in their bowl games(if they made one) chanting SEC after an SEC team wins the national championship. That's garbage. It's unbelievably stupid, in my opinion. I could try to explain why they do have an unfair advantage based on preseason and early season polling, but if they'd read the article, they would have done the math already.

Bottom line. Their best teams do seem to be better than everyone else's, even if their middle of the road teams are invariably overrated. Does tSEC deserve credit for that? FUCK no.

IMO....all of the SEC/B1G tie in bowls should be played out west. We already have a decent record against them in the post season. Why not force their teams to take on a more rigorous travel schedule for these bowls, and not let them play us on fields they've already set foot on anywhere from 2 to 30 times in their college careers. I know SEC fans want to pretend it doesn't matter......but if you take every above .500 team in the country and only count the games they had to travel over 300 miles to get to, I think you would see a below average winning %. It matters. Period. Accept it.

Sounds like a reasonable plan. Now just get thousands of fans to flock to Ida-fuckin-ho in late December/ early January and you’re there!

Let's talk facts then.

In your current run, 3 teams have won titles......we're not talking back to the 40s here.

LSU, Bama and Florida. The rest of the conference is AVERAGE at best.

NOTHING you post is going to make Kentucky, Vandy, Ole Miss, MSU, any better than bottom feeders in ANY BCS conference.

NOTHING you post is going to make Georgia, Tenn, and USC any better than mid tier teams.

THOSE are facts - the SEC as a whole is NOT any better than any other conference.

:pound: Comic POTY!!

I would like some stats as to this particular claim..
