I will when you begin to realize 2023 Russ is NOT 2013 Russ.

Nobody is claiming that, but....

2013: 16 games, 63.1%, 210 yards passing/game, 8.2/att, 26 TD, 9 INT, 44 sacks, 2 fumbles, 1 rushing TD, 539 rushing yards
2023: 15 games, 66.4%, 204 yards passing/game, 6.9/att, 26 TD, 8 INT, 45 sacks, 3 fumbles, 3 rushing TD, 341 rushing yards

JP-J at #20 to the Steelers? Or is he not enough of a run-blocking center?
If he falls then that is the most likely scenario but they will need a back-up plan. If not we will get another Kendrick Green scenario. :L

And Jeudy dropped a bunch of passes and they traded him to the Browns because they couldn't count on him.

Went from 4th best to 5th best.

No chance Pickett is worse than Russ.
Flacco is better too. Down to 6th.

Jake Browning is better. Down to 7th.

He just keeps getting worse the longer we think about it lol

This is the Russ Pittsburgh is getting in a nutshell. I spent the last 2 years defending him as any fan would have their team but he’s bad. And Steelers fans can argue “at least he‘s not Pickett or Rudolph bad” but that doesn’t mean he’s good.

And that's from the good year hahahaha

The Steelers make out well in signing Russ. They're basically getting a veteran for free. Really no downside for Pittsburgh on a one year deal. I didn't watch Pickett play much, so I can't speak to his game vs. Wilson's.

For 1.2 million per year, sign me up. For 245 million over 5 years, a huge mistake. That's the difference. Wilson's best days are very much behind him. Most Broncos fans were excited when the trade was made and we were warned repeatedly by Seahawk fans that we weren't getting the superstar that we that we were. They were right.

He had a much better year in 2023 but our offense was generally anemic. Maybe he'll do better in Pittsburgh. The Broncos will be paying for this mistake for two more years. Solid win for the Steelers.

I really can't ever look at Wilson the same after seeing that lmao... I like how he just stands there awkwardly eating and staring at the camera. WTF was Subway thinking with this? I guess zero surprise they are closing their stores down.

He's already getting paid, any money he signs for goes to Denver to offset their cap hit.
Money he earns in 2024 would offset money earned from the Broncos - so there's no point him earning money in 2024. If he signed a 2 year deal the money he earned in 2025 would not offset the Broncos money in 2024. Thus he could sign a 2 year deal with 90%+ of the money due in the 2nd year. Either way playing for free and potentially getting hurt isn't good business.

If Wilson and Payton weren't such insufferable pricks they could probably have gotten along for another year where Wilson got money in 2025 guarantees for playing for the Broncos in 2024. Wilson would have earned more that way than he's going to playing for the Steelers. The Broncos would have a better QB for 2024 and they could delay the 24/25 cap damage until 25/26.

Then again they both deserve this.

No-one thinks he is. He isn't being jettisoned because he's terrible. It's because 2 more years of him will add $37M to the Broncos wage bill and no-one seems to think he's worth an average of $18.5M per year fully guaranteed.

LOL. Although, if we're going to blame Subway's demise on commercials, it probably should be the ones that people actually see (Barkley, Curry, etc).
