You want me to list all 31 QBs with better completion percentages than him under pressure? Who is above him is a valid counterargument when it is near the top 10, not the late 20s.

Lets go back to this line:
  • Goff's 68.5-point QBR difference with and without pressure is the largest for any quarterback
So the list for the gap difference is every single qualified QB in the league.

I have at no point called Goff average. Acknowledging he struggles under pressure, which is well documented all over the place and backed by stats is not dissing Goff. When not under pressure he is awesome, and the Lions oline allows pressure at a low rate. His shortcoming is mitigated by the Lions main strength, which is why he is a great fit here.
Pleas help me in comparing his numbers to the top 8 QB’s in regards to passing yards this season. Just curious who is better.

qbs I'm def taking over Goff

Mahomes
Allen
Hebert
Hurts
Dak
Purdy
Stroud
Lamar
Burrow

Similar level

Baker
Tua
Watson (inc)...if he's anywhere near Houston he's obviously better
Cousins
Love (but I'm taking love if I'm building a team)
Staff (he's better today but old)
Lawrence (again would take him if I'm building)

When you add incoming qbs this pushes Goff to the middle of the league.

But he is a good fit in Detroit and doing well. But almost no one is taking him top 7 or so
You lost me at Baker, and a rookie like Stroud.

Comparing this season, what did they do that was significantly better because I can name some things they did worse.

My only argument in this has been on Goff underpressure, you for some reason want to push back on documented facts because you think fair criticism is not allowed for your guy. I am a Goff supporter, I think top 10 is absolutely fair for him. I like him as a QB. It does not undo where he struggles.

Stroud is already a better qb in every possible way. Hell man...look at what Goff is working with instead of Stroud. Not saying Stroud has hot trash around him but Goff has a better offense by far.

Baker is basically a poor man's Goff. But if he's signing for 20 million and Goff costs 40 I can see a team like TB wanting Baker instead.

Im not that big a Goff fan, but to call him average seems ludicrous to me.

How does his numbers under pressure compare to others in the top stat categories? That’s all I’m asking.

Now this I would argue against. He can carry a team to a win.

Against teams with bad defenses yes. Go look at our Super Bowl run with him.

Under pressure Goff is below average. With a clean pocket he is good. I’ve already said this

No he isn’t. Rookies sometimes have big years until all the intel comes out on them, and many fade away.

Stroud did not have a statistically better year than Goff. Although I would certainly trade him for Goff in a second.

Once again, if that is your measurement for great QB’s than Lamar is out. I think it’s a poor measurement myself, as I think Lamar is great.

be like other Detroit fans.
Enjoy the win and pull hard for another win at home.

you are spitting in the wind here.
Thanks for the advice. I still don’t think he is an average QB, or simply a game manager but to each their own.

You tell me he's not better than Goff and then proceed to say you would trade for him lol

There aren't a lot of Rooks that killed it year 1 who then fell apart.

Baker... maybe kyler to a lesser extent. RG3 to injury and Mac Jones.

Nothing about Stroud makes me think he could regress.

Stop! One is what 7-8 years younger. Of course anyone would make that trade (just the cap savings alone) You know this already though.

he's not.

biggest concern for the rams is Detroit winning more playoff games.
Lol no concern from rams fans on Goff. We know what he is. We saw it all year. Good games and stinkers.

Falling back on Lamar doesn’t help you with Goff. No one mentioned Lamar but you.

$20M for Mayfield? I could see $35M for Goff, maybe $40M at a push, but not $20M for Mayfield. He's worth a lot more than his $4M/1 year Buccaneers deal, but he's not a $20M player.

happen to think he will get very close to that based on what Geno got.
