Of the Rangers fans that I have come across on social media and on here, I think I actually wanted the Rangers to do less than about 95% of fans wanted them to do. I didn't ask for a great or even a good starting pitcher. I didn't need a bat to plug into the starting lineup. I simply wanted three relief pitchers (down from the five I wanted before the postseason exposed the greatness of Leclerc and Sborz). I did want the best reliever we got to be Hader. I do think they need a few other things, but nothing major.

Even my meager requests have yet to be fulfilled. I can't imagine how those who wanted much more than me, are feeling now.

I am about to give up hope that we will get a frontline closer.
I struggle with the lack of moves myself.

I would never have believed that CY would sit on his hands, like JD did. I don’t hear about money. How much did the Rangers make off of World Series merchandise. I bet it was enough to sign a couple of non injured pitchers.

There are some decent players to be had it's that I'm ready to see some action. I just hope when the dust clears we have solidified our BP.

I saw a few videos of him yesterday. His short compact swing reminds me of Mike Trout. I will be shocked if he doesn’t start the season in the majors.
Betting he does.

They will not add Montgomery or a front line closer or any other significant add the requires spending anything other than prospects. This is going to be the same thing Cuban did with the Mavericks after winning a championship though this is due to the issue of being unsure of funds due to the tv deal not paying what it was supposed too and no other deal in place.

The Dodgers are making a strong case for MLB needing some parameters on spending and some sort of salary cap. It will be. problem if these types of things are allowed to take place

See you guys after Christmas. May the jolly old guy bring you the relief pitchers of your liking.

LOL! We are buying our tickets again at $99 for 2 tickets halfway up behind home plate. But I may choose tickets late in the year when all these pitchers come off the DL.

There were 8 teams that had to pay the Luxury Tax for 2023. The Rangers were the least of those, paying $1.8 million. The Mets paid the most, $101 million.

From The Bleacher Report's latest mock draft:

  1. 30. Texas Rangers: RHP Ryan Sloan, York High School (IL)
With a 6'4", 220-pound frame, three present plus pitches and a good command, Sloan is poised to follow in the footsteps of Quinn Priester (No. 18 in 2019), Owen Murphy (No. 20 in 2022) and Noah Schultz (No. 26 in 2022) as Illinois prep pitchers to go in the first round in recent years. His 60-grade fastball is as good as any in this year's prep class, and all signs point to him being the first prep right-hander off the board.

Wonder what the Dodgers are going to pay.
