Should have let Carter hit. He needs the experience against left handers.

There were at least 9 bad calls by Walcott that I noticed and provided screen shots from. How embarrassing for MLB.

Yep. Not even touching the grid. And then he called pitch 1 to Alek Thomas from Perez a ball when it was touching the strike zone on Fox, ESPN, and mlb.com.

Maybe we still lose, but this game shouldn’t be 9-1. So many of our hitters called out on balls and so many of theirs not punched out on strikes, and runs followed immediately after.

It’s corrupt. They want a long series. There hasn’t been 1 single missed call in favor of the Rangers. Not one. Last night, the missed calls were fairly evenly split. Zero consistency tonight.

And coward Smoltz doesn’t have the spine to call it out. He pauses when he sees the bad calls and says something like “they get the call”.

I cannot WAIT to see the ump’s scorecard for this game.

The thing is, this guy graded out great by that group I quoted in a post a couple of days ago. It is like he was bad on purpose.

Yeah, there were others that were questionable, but slightly touching the grid, that I didn't even mention. Just awful!

Everything went the Diamondbacks way tonight. They hit it where we weren't. We hit it where they were. We just got under 2 or 3 balls. The home plate umpire was trash and all his trash callas went against us. Maybe they got all the breaks at once, in one game. It is our turn to get some breaks for a while.

Exactly. He’s supposedly the most accurate balls and strikes ump in baseball, yet his accuracy percentage from tonight is going to be laughably low. And the runs favored score is going to be a huge number for Arizona.

Rangers have only held the lead for 3 innings in the first 2 games. That better change or it’s not going to work out to well.

We hit line drives to the warning track right at people, and they hit weak grounders that found holes the whole night. Garver smashing that line drive right at 3rd to end the game was fitting.

Yeah was hearing at a party with the game on, it looked like the fix was on. Short series = less revenue

Hate to think that happens but the calls were so one sided

Rangers pitchers have to pitch better....they cant put anyone away after they get 2 strikes. Texas had 2 stakeouts tonight, That's pathetic. Way too many misses in the middle of the plate too.

Montgomery’s velocity was down about 1.5 mph compared to regular season according to ESPN.

Probably the worst umpiring job I’ve ever seen combined with Kelly pitching a good game and the series is tied just like that. Better hope we get a fair shake in Arizona and we keep the road warrior mojo going that we’ve had all playoffs long.

We are 8-0 on the road in the playoffs. Let's hope that dominance continues. I think we can see why Arizona made it to the World Series and this team will not be easy.

Good pitching beats good hitting. Despite the lopsided strike zone Monty looked tired
If there was anyway possible to push back starts I wonder if that could happen. So so unlikely but if we could take the next 2, maybe a guy like Bradford goes game 5.

Totally far fetched but we have been riding Eovaldi and Montgomery hard. Love to get quality Scherzer Monday and touch up their young pitcher
